  1. Mehh I’m not blaming Seby for Kopech not being able to throw a breaking pitch.
  2. The slider is awful…but keep throwing it. Just dumb all around. Zeby shouldn’t even call that pitch again
  3. Was that a pained look from Kopech as they went to break?
  4. Zeby, just stop calling the slider. It’s not helping
  5. Kopech consistently hanging sliders in the zone and our announcers commenting how great his stuff is…nice to see life on his fastball but he isn’t locating and doesn’t have any good consistent breaking pitches
  6. Sadly I’m not even sure firing the hitting coach will help at this point. Somehow this coaching staff has sucked any/all power this offense had out. Not sure how, but it’s actually impressive how bad this lineup has become
  7. Amazing DH. Absolute stud with the bat
  8. Sox are making this guy look like prime Aroldis Chapman. So many 95 mph FB’s in the zone fouled off or missed late
  9. Yeah he’s almost lost all 12-6 movement on it, not sure how that happens in the middle of the season
  10. His fastball is 96-98 with movement and he’s insisting on throwing more sliders. They aren’t hitting it, stop falling in love with the breaking pitch
  11. Was only a matter of time…but good god was that crushed
  12. 5 K’s is embarrassing. This team is impossibly broken, it makes no sense to me
  13. Luis Gonzalez wouldn’t hurt either
  14. I don’t think Yaz can be continued to be trotted out at DH. He’s quite literally useless in that role at this point. Let him platoon with Zeby, contract between damned. Pollack is a better hitter (sadly) and improves the defense a ton
  15. He def could have hustled more but that was a double all the way. That was hit hard and he was shaded towards center
  16. The curve actually had pretty good sharp break. Abandon the slider for a bit if you have to, he threw at least 3 that should have been HR’s
  17. Kopech’s slider is awful right now. Almost 0 movement
  18. Diekman is a good get as a lefty out of the pen for Reese
  19. At least 6…if you only count pitchers
  20. Is that a compliment to him or an insult to the White Sox? Not saying he’s bad, just surprising that he’s the best OF’er on a team where the GM makes roster moves and spends $ like he’s playing MLB The Show
  21. Pretty crazy that with all of the wheeling and dealing they’ve done and with the size of their payroll they might have 1 of the worst OF’s in baseball. Wil Myers and Profar as the best you can trot out is no good
  22. Hader about to be traded…don’t do it Hahn
  23. I wonder what it would actually take? 2 years of cheap control for an above average player seems like it would cost a decent amount, but also nothing crazy. Don’t think Montgomery, Colas, or Vera would need to be discussed…wonder if they would have interest in Burger + a decent prospect like Kelley?
  24. Another thing to keep in mind with the Orioles that could lead to them trading Santander is that they drafted LH OF’ers 2 years in a row in the top 5 (Kowser and Kjerstad). Their #7 prospect Kyle Stowers is also a LH hitting corner OF’er who is 24 and has a .900 ops in AAA. He’s gotten a taste of the majors already and it would probably make sense to see what he can do. Long story short…it makes sense for the Orioles to cash in on Santander now since he mostly likely won’t be starting for them when they could potentially have a window of contention in 2-3 years (if everything goes well)
  25. Did anybody think hitting HR’s was going to be the Sox problem going into the season? I can’t even begin to guess what it is, but something weird is clearly going on with this team. Even Jose, who is hitting well, is on pace for a career low in HR’s.
