  1. Wonder if Matt shouldn't have tried home after touching 1st
  2. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 18, 2018 -> 02:57 PM) Jason is a pure sunshine blower so it's welcomed. Stone did not care for that "let the inning develop" question from Jason lol
  3. Stone sounds so irritated with Fulmer, he's the fan's voice in the booth currently lol
  4. That W-S lineup keeps hitting. Great start to the year for them
  5. I see no benefit to giving Trayce AB's when we know what he is already, there's a reason he's been on 3 different teams already this year. He's the original Adam Engel, great defense and no bat.
  6. Micker with another Hit.
  7. 4k's for Cease already.
  8. I turned it off after the Lowry homerun, reading this gamethread let's me know I made the right call.
  9. Cordell being out means a way longer chance for Engel unless Tilson starts tearing up AAA (which might happen). He's a great defensive CFer and that's it. Not good enough to be an MLB starting CFer.
  10. QUOTE (hi8is @ Apr 17, 2018 -> 01:24 AM) I’d like to go from 72 down to 56. Aiming real high with those 56 at this team's current pace.
  11. Thank god I fell asleep, this team's offense and defense is dismal. Lopez looked awesome again, a couple too many walks but he's been really good so far to start the season.
  12. Renteria taking the bat outta the guy we need swinging.
  13. They should definitely have made TF with a retractable roof but I don't think anyone expected 20" of snow in mid April either. They should just call it a weekend already, no chance they play any of the remaining 3 games this weekend.
  14. QUOTE (Tony @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 11:21 AM) I wonder if they have an amount of starts in mind for Kopech at AAA? (For example, if he has 3 strong starts in AAA, is that the green light he needs to an MLB call up?) I definitely think they want him up and throwing innings at the MLB level asap. If he has 3-4 more starts like he did in his season opener I see nobody blocking him from coming up.
  15. QUOTE (SonofaRoache @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 11:33 AM) Harper- Cubs Machado- Red Sox Donaldson- Nationals Just don't see Machado to the Red Sox, he's Yankees or bust i think.
  16. But it was a damn good post!
  17. Cordell needs a breather, maybe the kid really felt he was gonna make it with the OD big league roster and has been kinda overthinking to start the year. He's definitely not this bad.
  18. QUOTE (Two-Gun Pete @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 09:09 AM) Except that it hasn't just been a 10 game stretch. He hasn't hit as a RH very well, except for a bit during garbage time in 2017. I think it's perfectly legit for fans to be concerned. For me, I view this 3 different ways: 1. Renteria needs to put ALL of his players in the best position to succeed, not just 1 guy out of 25. Moncada clearly isn't a leadoff man right now, & putting him there hurts the other 24 guys in the roster and THEIR development. 2. Im f***ing sick of hearing about "development at the MLB level" for prospects in this org. How has that worked out so far? Since Beckham, what has this org developed doing it this way? Even IF you buy Avi's juiced ball and BABIP-luck filled 2017 (I don't ), this org SQUANDERED a lot of controllable years for him. So, I don't want to see Eloy or Kopech until they're CLEARLY DOMINANT in Charlotte, even if I have to wait until 2019. The rush-and-hope system simply hasn't worked for this org, full stop. 3. All of that said, I believe in Moncada's potential. He just may squander half of his controllable years before he figures it out at the MLB level. But batting him leadoff is hurting him and hurting his team mate's development, IMHO. Letting him continue to spin his wheels as a RH bat hurts him & hurts his team mates, IMHO. This post pretty much sums up my feelings but I disagree hitting leadoff is hurting his development. I just believe if he's gonna hit it's going to be in any spot in the order. QUOTE (Footlongcomiskeydog @ Apr 13, 2018 -> 09:25 AM) The Cubs didn't trade the best pitcher in the history of their franchise for Kyle Schwarber. Huge difference man. The Sox need Yoan to be a stud. This is really what's behind the huge dissapointment so far with Moncada, if he was just a regular signee nobody would be this disheartened but Sox traded away a HOF pitcher with plans for this kid to be a cornerstone so him not becoming one would be a huge blow to a fanbase looking for hope.
  19. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 12, 2018 -> 10:53 AM) glangon wins Glangon is Rick Hahn confirmed.
  20. IMO he's up sometime mid-May and they will DFA Miggy. They shouldn't waste his arm on AAA,let him learn at the big league level once you secure his extra year of service time.
