QUOTE (raBBit @ Oct 6, 2016 -> 12:34 PM) Just got offered RB Forte and WR Cooper for WR Beckham Jr. 12 team standard league. Do I accept? Forte is kinda of on trend downward with his knee issues and Powell getting more snaps; and Cooper is decent. How's your RB situation? If it is good I'd keep Odell.

QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 4, 2016 -> 01:21 PM) LDF? Has to be.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 08:55 PM) When did Minnesota's D turn into the Seahawks? They look amazing out there. And Beckham Jr. once again being a baby out there. Yea I liked Odell but he's been becoming too much of a Diva this year. I understand emotion but he's been having stupid penalties and is whining about everything even when he commits the foul. He needs to relax.

QUOTE (OmarComing25 @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 04:45 PM) Not when Colon would be the Game 1 starter. Didn't notice is was that bad...damn. Yea rooting for the Giants then.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 01:46 PM) It's very different. There's a new engine in place. It feels more like PES passing-wise. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 02:16 AM) It's different in some ways, not different in important ways. They totally reworked corners and penalties and adjusted free kicks. I like the new corners, hate the new penalties. Some of the same issues crop up though. Stupid teammates and controls that seem to fight you. Having more trouble than usual getting players to pass to the correct player. Sometimes the direction is off by 45 degrees from what I was aiming. It's infuriating at times. The Journey is surprisingly cool though. Yea might have to pass on this guys. Not a PES fan at all and Dan's write up makes it seem like the Journey is the only real difference (and the engine i suppose).

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 11:11 AM) This is my hope. I forgot where I saw that the Mets have the best record since like August 12th, wouldn't it be better to ride the hot hand and hope the Mets can pull the upset?

QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 3, 2016 -> 11:37 AM) Why wouldn't they come up? His only experience as a manager is for them... Oh i thought they might have gotten all those questions out the way when he was hired as bench coach a year ago and asked throughout the season a bunch of times.
-
Of course the Cubs questions. Just why?
-
He sounds like his mind has been made up since June lol

QUOTE (whitesoxjr27 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 10:33 AM) Guy at worked showed me a tattoo his friend got. It says, 2016 the curse is over with a cubs logo. He is so pissed. He showed every cub in the office and now they are pissed. This is too funny. Man that tattoo is hilariously bad.Not just the content but the tattoo artist might be in 4th grade.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 09:57 AM) Oh well maybe 2017 will be better. Keeping this year alive by being delusional, but yup my season is most likely ovah.

http://www.foxsports.com/mlb/story/ken-ros...b-awards-093016 I don't care who wins as long as it's a starter. This Britton talk is proving this award is chosen by outdated minds.

Anybody got FIFA 17 yet? Is there a huge difference from last years game? I usually wait a few years before buying a new FIFA unless something is really worth moving up for.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 06:25 AM) I wonder how BJ felt being called MJs b****. I mean, Derrick isn't wrong lol Lol no that's closer to reality than he probably wants to admit. But the whole "we feel we have the personnel" to run the triangle likes the 90's Bulls... GMAFB!
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Sep 30, 2016 -> 06:13 AM) Apparently Rose is having issues learning the triangle http://www.slamonline.com/nba/derrick-rose...7768LeByRR3g.97 Ok Derrick, keep on thinking that.

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 29, 2016 -> 09:19 AM) Sweet, Dez has hairline fracture but may play. My fantasy year, baseball and football, has been brutal. +1 on this, I've lost 3 starters in 4 weeks. My WR core is decimated and everyone in my league is hellbent on fleecing one another or make no moves at all.

Exclusive interview: Marco Paddy, Director of Int'l Scouting
TheTruth05 replied to NorthSideSox72's topic in FutureSox Board
QUOTE (raBBit @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 10:18 AM) Thank you for all the kind words everyone. To be totally honest, this is an interview I've wanted to get for a long time and I am especially proud we got. I just never really thought I had the understanding of the international process to do it proper but after the Sox continuance of disappointing seasons I found myself looking for reasons to stay interested. Paddy is basically always in LatAm. I talked to him on Saturday and he was home in Florida (albeit at the airport heading south) for the first time in a long while. He didn't get a day off for a while after July 2nd. He told me he's not really going to get any real time off until Christmas. Last week I had just emailed him out of the blue last week with a request and he didn't get back to me via email. I had my cell number on my email signature and he called me out of the blue Saturday when I was at the car wash. He told me he was confused someone wanted to talk to him because he's never really done a full interview. Then he called Rick Hahn and Hahn told him not to even sweat it and vouched for both our site and me personally. It was great to hear. Sox get a lot of flack for being "tight lipped" or "too loyal" in their dealings but they have absolutely enabled us to add another dimension to the site. It starts with Matt (NorthSideSox) putting the leg work in before we had ever done any of this exclusive stuff, but ever since Matt started pushing us, the content just keeps coming. We've been able to interview the GM, AGM, Scouting Director, Director of International Scouting, scouts, coaches, every top prospect (other than Jose Abreu) since Nestor Molina and dozens more prospects. Every year we have more growth and more opportunities. I thought that was an important part of the interview. I didn't really push him on the Sox strategy but he was definitely making a point to sell the hell out of it and looking further into it, it does seem the longer we get into this CBA the more beneficial the Sox strategy is becoming. Next year should be an even better year. If they wanted to go over next year (don't hold you breath) they could really bring in a haul with more than half the teams unable to sign guys for over 300K. Great stuff Brian, all you guys are doing a heck of a job. Keep it coming! -
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Sep 27, 2016 -> 04:49 PM) Yep. Marchand just got 8 yrs for 6.1 mil. Do it and worry about the cap later. (Bye bye Kruger/Seabrook) Yup. Do it!

QUOTE (knightni @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 11:41 AM) Worst. week. ever. ESPN recommended that I start Fitzpatrick over Dalton. Dalton was bad, but Fitz was historic-ally bad. FML I lost by 100.5 pts this week bud, so you're not alone. My opponent had Marvin Jones,McCoy,NE D,and D.Thomas all while my team flopped harder than possibly imaginable.
