This is my nightmare. That's the ultimate "rich get richer" situation and it would be horrific for the league.

I'm really surprised that they sent him back out there as soon as they did. I dislocated my shoulder a few times several years back and told my wife as soon as Miller went down that I was fairly certain of what happened. As soon as the shoulder is put back into place the relief is immense, but the ball of the shoulder slipping past the labrum still causes some degree of structural damage and makes it much more likely to occur again.

I'm not stunned. Top flight relievers are worth way more when they have a proven track record. Hahn will let next season unfold for a bit to see how the team is shaping up and A) if the team is still bad, he'll flip our good, track record having, relievers for (presumably better) prospects or B) if the team seems to be turning around, keep them in the fold for the next playoff push.

Oof. Gotta feel for those Southern League hitters. Cease, Dunning, Flores, and now Medeiros

True story. Most of our top 15 would rate much higher in the majority of other farms around the league. If we were moving Soria 3 seasons ago, he would have brought back somebody that would have been in our top 5 or so. lol

That could happen and that would suck, but keep in mind that at this time last year everybody was talking about Nolan Gorman, Brice Turang, and Seth Beer as potential 1-1 candidates and those three went 19, 21, and 28. A year is a long time and a ton can change before we need to worry about it.

Maybe I'm alone in this, but I've always sorta viewed Rodon as the final trade piece of the rebuild. If he can come back and stay healthy, he could net a really nice return to refill the minors right around the time that Dunning/Hansen/Cease are ready to head to Chicago. Don't get me wrong, I think he absolutely factors into the plans for 2019 and 2020 but maybe not beyond that. Two years of Rodon could bring back something along the line of what the Pirates got for Gerrit Cole and with Hahn at the helm it could end up being even more.

Surely there must be some unwritten rule about this kind of thing. 😂😂😂
