  1. At the deadline this season it was “Well, they didn’t meet our ask. Try again in the offseason when there are more buyers.”. Now it’s “Well, there are too many free agents. We should try again at the deadline.”. Can’t wait for August when we move the goalposts again!
  2. I don’t get this organization’s obsession with the Royals. If we’re going to rummage around in the scraps of another team, wouldn’t we at least be looking at a team that won regularly?
  3. I will be stunned beyond words if anyone come close to those numbers
  4. There was a month where we thought he was the next Corey Kluber lol
  5. How about Long for Manager (to cure the offensive woes) and Washington as Bench Coach (to cure the defensive/fundamental woes)?
  6. Like whomst? Is this “bingo bango” based on something you have been made aware of??
  7. But it doesn't seem like the FO opinions matter. Jerry is the be all end all and he's a curmudgeonly old f*** that refuses to get to know new people at this stage in his life and just wants to re-hire people he used to work with.
  8. So sick of the Ozzie, Thome, Getz, Willie Harris talk. I hate that this organization is so incestuous. It's way past time to bring someone in that has no previous ties to this org and get some fresh ideas. What they've been doing obviously hasn't been working so hiring someone that is just going to do what he's told and show us more of the same shouldn't be acceptable.
  9. FWIW Josh Phegley lives down the street from me and his house just went up for sale. Former Sox player, catcher, no managerial experience. Checks a lot of boxes. Maybe something to monitor lol
  10. I love this team but holy shit do I hate this team
  11. Biggest matchup in the game so far seems to be Stoney vs the word "Velasquez"
  12. I get what you’re saying but if you look at the other teams that were in the playoffs, they aren’t banking on experience gained in last years playoffs to get them over the hump. They’re signing and trading for top end talent and addressing team needs. If they stand pat, we’re possibly looking at another first round exit because JR wouldn’t open his wallet and actually make this team better.
  13. The complacency from this organization is mind-boggling. Last seasons best teams in both the AL and NL are pushing their chips in, the rest of the division are in position to start competing for the ALC title as soon as next year with some moderate aggression and the White Sox have a $60M bullpen, 3.5 starting pitchers, and a first baseman in right field. What the fuck are we even doing?
  14. Signing. They can try to make a deal at the trade deadline if they spend now. But the farm is too weak to trade now and then try to make another deal later this summer.
  15. If Jerry isn’t going to change his negotiation style to fit with the times, he needs to sell this team to someone interested in actually running it. He’s gonna piss away his best core in 2 decades because he’s stubborn and cheap. The Rockies just gave out a $162M deal, the Blue Jays are trading for stars to add to a championship core, the Dodgers spend money like there’s no tomorrow and Jerry buys another reliever and trots a couple 1B out to RF because the actual difference makers wanna be paid as such. What a pathetic excuse for an owner.* *This rant will be partially rescinded pending a Conforto/Castellanos signing and a trade for a good SP.
  16. Find a cornerstone and build around him. Sorta reminds me of what the Nats did with Werth
  17. Placed a bet on him for 2022 AL MVP at +3000 odds. LOVE my chances.
  18. Maybe the Sox could sell the Cubs on reversing the Kimbrel deal since Heuer is hurt now. Lol
  19. With the Kelly “news” coming out, would that be in lieu of a Tepera signing or possibly in addition to?
