KW/Hahn - They Gone
From what I read is that Hahn and KW didn’t agree on quite a few things, the next guy should be GM with no one to answer to but to JR. For instance Hahn interviewed Grifol and decided he wanted him but then Grifol had to be interviewed by KW who gave the final OK. Hahn also didn’t want to trade Burger but it was KW who made the trade, what’s the point of having a GM who basically didn’t have all that much control, sounds like we had too many cooks in the kitchen.

Hey, there's also a game tonight gamethread. Mariners @ White Sox 7:10
It’s a damn shame that players can’t be fired, there is only one guy on the roster who has exceeded expectations. There are some like Cease, Vaughn and maybe Eloy who are tradable and some like Moncada who aren’t . The new GM whoever he may be will have one monumental job making the Sox a contender again. My guess is we are looking at another 3 years of a rebuilding period unless JR has an epiphany and opens up the checkbook and allows the new GM to sign some premier free agents.

KW/Hahn - They Gone
In 2 seasons the Sox improved so much they came close to winning the division in 1972, if Melton hadn’t hurt his back they might have won it.

I don’t get the Tribune, can you give a short recap of the article.

KW/Hahn - They Gone
I’m thinking Stone, Steve is no dummy and knows the game.

KW/Hahn - They Gone
Getz has flourished as minor league director, on what planet.

KW/Hahn - They Gone
This is hard to believe, I’d can Grifol immediately and make Montoyo interim manager.

This Day In Sox History...August 22
IIRC there was another group that wanted to buy the Sox at the time, I want to say it was headed by a guy named Farley.

8/21- Sox vs Mariners, 7:10, FS1
Eloy really hustling on that grounder.

8/21- Sox vs Mariners, 7:10, FS1
Mike Huff seems like a nice guy but he’s delusional.

This is going to be a 20 run game for the M’s.

"Sell the Team Jerry" Game August 24th
I’ll always remember that night as I became a JR and EE hater and nothing has changed in these past 40 years to change my mind, even winning the WS. They showed their true colors that night and showed everyone that they were the scumbags.

Apparently the Sox won today
I like White Sox wins and hate losing and tanking.

Apparently the Sox won today
Amazing but even the worst teams win 50 or 60 games.

$75M = One of the worst White Sox LF Seasons
You haven’t heard that the Sox will be contenders in 2024?

$75M = One of the worst White Sox LF Seasons
I’m giving Benintendi a pass this year because I don’t think his wrist is 100%, he has trouble pulling the ball and I’m sure it’s because of the wrist. That being said he’s not a big run producer that you want from a leftfielder, hopefully he’s 100% next year and he will probably give you 15 homers and 80 RBI while batting close to .300 with an OPS around .780.

Sox conducting internal interviews to see if dramatic changes are needed
Exactly and who is doing the interviewing and who are the ones that are being interviewed. What a sorry joke.

Saturday Night in Denver Game Thread
This team is so hard to watch, why do we torture ourselves.

Saturday Night in Denver Game Thread
We haven’t had a game that mattered since early April.

This Day In Sox History...August 19
The pitching except for a couple guys was horrible, they were last in the AL in ERA, the offense in most categories was about middle of the pack, they were weak at first base and second base.

This Day In Sox History...August 19
As I mentioned a few other times, the 1970 team which went 56-106 was a lot more fun to watch than the stiffs that make up the 2023 White Sox roster.

When Do the Sox Talk About a New Stadium??
The Chicago skyline is one of the best in the world but from 35th street you just don’t get the magnificence of it from that distance which is about 4.5 miles. Somewhere around Roosevelt road and Clark street would work, there are some abandoned railroad tracks just south of there.

8/12 White Sox vs Brewers
Literally between a rock and a hard place. Too bad Trayce can’t hit.

8/12 White Sox vs Brewers
They have Sheets playing pretty deep to give him a better chance on long fly balls.
