  1. Don't forget Vaughn is a rookie with not that much time spent in the minors, he is playing all over the place and with the pressure of a pennant race plus he's not the only guy having trouble with RISP.
  2. I've seen a lot of games there since the Rays came to be in 1998 and the Sox have always struggled in the Trop, probably about .500 in the games I have attended. It just seems like it's dark in there and maybe the Sox don't see the ball all that well while at the plate. The Rays hit well there so I guess they're are use to the darkness.
  3. Doesn't matter who we face, at this point we will be the underdogs.
  4. We're a .500 team since the All Star break.
  5. The way we're hitting this game is out of reach. Hope things tiurn for the better in Toronto.
  6. He would have been out by a mile.
  7. We are going to miss Madrigal.
  8. Struck out the side, way to go Sox.
  9. He's always been sort of a jerk. He's not as good as he thinks he is.
  10. The bullpen plain and simple and for whatever reason just hasn't been consistent this year.
  11. Remember when TLR, Leland and another coach went to the radio studio where Jimmy was doing the postgame show and were there to provoke him into a fight, that was as bush league as you could get.
  12. We made it to the game driving 84 miles from Punta Gorda and yes I was pissed. TLR and I are just about the same age and pretty sure I have more on the ball than he does. I was a good friend of Jimmy Piersall back in his broadcasting days with the Sox and he hated TLR, I can only imagine what he'd be saying about him now.
  13. We drove up from Punta Gorda to take in the game, when I saw the lineup I just about puked.
  14. There are a lot of lazy catchers in the Majors.
  15. With one out you hold him at 3rd plus that was a perfect throw by Meadows.
  16. TA was really in high gear scoring from first on Robert's double.
  17. Yep, since he doesn't seem like he's much of a long ball guy anymore and since he switch hits I'd like to see him bat second. That plus Hernandez isn't reminding me of Nellie Fox or even Ray Dutham.
  18. Because Glasnow is out probably until 2023 with TJS.
  19. Watch out for Brandon Lowe, not a big guy but hits the crap out of the ball, 29 homers so far this year.
  20. We have lived in Florida since 1993 and you are right on how much more developed it has become especially SW Florida. When we moved to Nalpes in 93 it was a ghost town in the summer with empty restaurants and very little traffic, now its busy all 4 seasons of the year with January through April insanely busy.
  21. Florida weather is in the eyes of the resident, if you play golf like I do 4 days a week its beautiful in morning as we tee off at 8 and usually finish by 11:30. It gets hotter and by noon it's in the 90s and humid and then the afternoon showers pop up around 3 or 4pm. Its like this everyday from June through Sept, 92-94 for the highs and 70 -72 for the lows. October rolls around and all of a sudden the showers end and the humidity disappears. Best all around months are April, May, October and November. None of this has anything to do with Rays Baseball as they play in a dome.
