Gio is our ace
He had some bad luck and could have picked up a few more wins. I'm not sure who TLR will pick to start the first game but I have no trouble with it being Gio.

2021 MLB Catch-all Thread
Congrats to my second favorite team, the Tampa Bay Rays on winning the AL Eastern Division. So far a great year for such a fun team to watch, they will be tough in the playoffs.

Engel hurt again, Tepera progressing
Might as well just shut him down for the rest of the year.

Luis Robert, closing in on one full season statistically
162 game averages are 29 homers, 94 RBI and .860 OPS. 15 more years of that works for me.

AND THAT'S AN AL CENTRAL CHAMPION WHITE SOX WINNER!!!

Today is Clinch Day… Date Yourself
In 2008 I was 62 years old, married, retired and living in Florida playing golf 4 times a week. In 2021 I am 75 years old, married, retired, and living in Florida playing golf 3 times a week. Going all the way back to 1959, yesterday Sept 22 was the 62nd anniversary of my boyhood heroes winning the AL pennant for the first time in 40 years. I was 13 years old and just entered 8th grade a few weeks earlier, it was one of the great days of my youth. 10 days later my favorite uncle took my mom and me to the second game of the World Series, a heartbreaking 4-3 loss to the Dodgers.

The demise of the 2021 White Sox
They still have 1 more game in Detroit tomorrow, if KC beats Cleveland tonight we can clinch with a win on Wednesday in Motown.

The demise of the 2021 White Sox
No doubt this team has been underperforming since the break, why, I don't know. They are a .500 team since the break and I just dont see them turning on a switch and becoming world beaters. At this point I can't see them beating the Astros in the playoffs. I hope I'm wrong as I've been a fan for almost 70 years and I like to see another World Championship in my lifetime.

White Sox playoff position tracker
If things go right tonight, it could be down to 1.

Romy our 2nd baseman of the future?
A little too early for that, we need a larger sample than 29 AB's but I do like what I'm seeing so far.

Not really playoffs, at least we won the American League pennant those years.- 9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
Except for 2005, we bowed out in the first round in 1983, 1993, 2000, 2008 and 2020.- Rodon may need extra rest in the postseason
I dont see anyone giving him a long term contract, 2 years at the most.- 9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
Just pathetic, I'm not feeling good about the team right now.- 9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
I wouldn't count on it unless we see a dramatic turn around in what's left of the season.- 9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
These guys have had me scratching my head since the All Star break, I won't be surprised if we get knocked out of the playoffs in the first round.- 9/15 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 7:10
I agree but the record speaks for itself, they're not playing great, a few games over .500 since the All Star break. There's something missing, seems like they're not overly motivated, maybe because they've never really been pressed by Cleveland or had a crucial series in the second half or it could be the manager is having trouble motivating these guys.- In Defense of Leury

I'm praying for a DP.- GT 9/12: Red Sox @ White Sox
One of them was the 50th anniversary of the 1st All Star game at Comiskey- GT 9/12: Red Sox @ White Sox
That's all we need, a Covid outbreak on the team.- GT 9/12: Red Sox @ White Sox
Ruiz gets the job done!- I’m bored, just waiting for the post season
I tend to agree, the season is way too long. I'd like the season to start in mid April and end in mid September giving us another round of playoffs. Right now we have too mamy teams playing for absolutely nothing in late September.- Quick Hit, would you take a vaccine?
We had the Moderna with the second jab on April 1st, so far no ill effects. As soon as the booster is available, we will take that too. Going on 76 and didn't want to take any chances as in the early days of Covid mostly old people were dying. We lost a very good friend to Covid in June of 2020 and that hit us very hard. - 9/16 GT: Angels @ White Sox, 1:10pm
