The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
I’m of the belief that human nature says that even JR doesn’t want to be hated but it’s too late, so much alienation of the fan base in his 44 years can never be forgotten or forgiven.

Good take, I guess we will never know.

The Worst Owner in Sports? The case for Jerry Reinsdorf
In a perfect world, MLB should force Reinsdorf to sell the team to Ishbia like today, yes I know it’s wishful thinking and I’ll leave it at that. This deplorable man has just about destroyed the franchise and I hope he knows that he is probably the most hated man in Chicago, nice legacy, the creep belongs in the Hall of Shame.

White Sox outright Fletcher, Julks, Peguero, White to AAA, Will Robertson claimed by PIT
He did make a phenomenal catch in leftfield that prevented a home run but otherwise he was horrible with the bat.

It was a huge mistake building the new Marlins park at its location, way too far south from the fan base, a better place would have been in the Fort Lauderdale area. The Rays have the same problem with the Trop, it’s also way too far south from the fan base, the new owner realizes that and look for a new Rays stadium to be built near downtown Tampa.- 2026 lineup predictions
Then they will be hard pressed to win 70 games. Beni should be the DH against RHP and Tauchman who I like is a 4th outfielder, somehow someway we need upgrades in OF corners.- 2026 lineup predictions
Sort of pointless to make lineup predictions as I’m sure there will be some changes especially in the outfield corners, we really need power as the corners and DH.- Sox fire Katz and Thames
I had mixed feelings with Katz, I wasn’t happy when he was hired and I’m OK with him gone but he did good work with the starters this season but the bullpen was a disaster, please Getz go out there and hire the best that you can find. I also have mixed feelings with Venable, so if he’s not going anywhere I hope he learns from a lot of mistakes in his rookie season as manager. His bullpen management could have been better and I also think he went the safe route on lefty- righty situations too many times with both our hitters and pitchers, sometimes you have let instincts take over. The positive is that the team played hard for him, we have a good bunch of players with no real jerks. It could have been very easy to just let the season play out but these guys busted their butts to the last out in the last game and some credit goes to Venable. Bottom line on all of this is when Ishbia takes over my guess is everybody will be gone, we have to remember this still one the worst organizations in professional sports.- Brooks Baldwin
We have 3 good catchers and only 1 should be the primary guy with Lee the backup, I’m fine with Quero being the guy and if Teel could play the outfield or first base, that’s OK with me.- Brooks Baldwin
Exactly, no way JR throws away 30 million dollars.- Brooks Baldwin
I’d make Beni the DH against right handed pitching. I think Teel is the everyday catcher with Lee the backup which makes Quero trade bait.- 2025 By the Numbers...
The biggest cancer is the owner.- Getz 2025 Grade: your vote matters.
I gave him a C, how do you build a team working for an owner who would make Ebeneezer Scrooge proud.- This is the end(my friends) Sox @ Nats 2:05 pm
Nice way to end the season with a series win as we reach 60 wins.- Brooks Baldwin
I agree, I really like the kid but what is his best position. I don’t want him bouncing around.- This is the end(my friends) Sox @ Nats 2:05 pm
We never watched Cubs games when Harry was doing their games. I watched tons of Cub games during the Brickhouse years, of course always pulling for the team playing the Cubs. As a kid and starting to ride the L at 11 years old I probably saw 20 games at Wrigley with my boyhood chums before we finally made it to Comiskey in 1960 when we were 14.- This is the end(my friends) Sox @ Nats 2:05 pm
Even my wife as she walked by the TV said how can you listen to this s%*# as Schriffen was singing the Nationwide song. She was a big Harry Caray fan.- This is the end(my friends) Sox @ Nats 2:05 pm

Vargas puts us up 2-0 with a bomb, 16 homers and a nice even 60 RBI, who would have thunk it after last season. BTW, Do any of you know that Vargas made a swing change early on in the season.- Michael Taylor retiring today
He had a very respectable season in the field, not too good with the bat but still cranked out 9 homers and drove in 34 runs, not all that bad for our 5th outfielder. Maybe he can get his 10th homer today which would give us 7 guys in double digit homers. Good luck to him in his retirement.- Sox at Nats…….9.27.25
Not sure if there was something definitive there.- Sox at Nats…….9.27.25
