I wouldn't be so quick to trade him. Can't have enough good lefties. And as soon as somebody gets hurt, we'll wish he was around. He'd be more valuable if he was a bit more effective against righties, but we shouldn't just give away a veteran lefty with a low contract.

Not Art Kusyner. Not Kirk McCaskill. Not Ray Herbert. Ginter has a good arm. and that was the Phillies, not the devil rays, he pitched against. The Sox relentlessly jerked him around -- starter, closer, set-up man, closer, starter, closer, starter. He'll have a solid career. End of discussion.

dude pitched six scoreless innings against the Phillies last night. he's pitched well in two of his three appearances for the Mets. Art Howe says they're keeping him in the rotation and stretching him out. He's 1-0 with an ERA of 3.24, I think. Another kid with an excellent arm the Sox gave up on too soon.

He just went through a slump, but he's warmed up again in the last week when he was moved up to second and first in the order. Reed will be fine.
