  1. Vaughn refuses to walk.
  2. I love the way Gio is pitching, wish he'd throw more strikes to the bottom of the order, so he could stay in longer.
  3. Not the shortest home run in Yankee Stadium this time.
  4. Donaldson's got like a mohawk, but it's longer in the back. It's a Mohullet.
  5. Gio a hair below 96 tonight. That will work. Also, Donaldson has the worst haircut ever.

Michael Turner has a double and a run scored tonight. He's an older senior sign but he's looked pretty good behind the plate and hits lefthanded. If you squint, you can see a path to the majors for him.
  7. Well, Gio, you got your 1 run for the night. Enjoy!
  8. Gavin did not look confident on that pop fly/near HR.
  9. Yankee Stadium is such a joke.

Thompson go the start for Birmingham, 1-2-3 first. Interesting question: between the sticky ball in AA and the Robo umps in AAA walks are waaaay up for things that don't exist in the majors. How is anyone evaluating pitching these days?
  11. Mike Cameron walked 867 times in his career. Interesting comp, but pretty different players.
  12. In addition to never walking, this team makes so many quick outs. Every starter should go at least 7 against them.

I put a lot of stock in where guys in the complex leagues hit in the lineup. Burrowes is hitting first in the ACL, Jimenez and Bennett are 3/4, Nunez Jr. is hitting third. That tracks with at least their managers think they're pretty good. So, I'm a little concerned that $1 mil bonus guy Erick Hernandez hit 9th last night and struck out 3 of his 4 at bats. Sample size, but that is not an arrow up position to hit in the order.
  14. Line up out, no Burger. When you have no OBP, it is nice to have a guy who might run into one. I have been one of the biggest Moncada defenders on this board, but right now he’s giving you little/nothing offensively. Sox can’t afford to punt c, 3b, ss, 2b, and power in left. How are they supposed to score?
  15. 2 run HR Godwin Bennett. 5-2.
  16. Sox 24 year-old starter got hammered in the second, they trail 5-0
  17. Carlos Jimenez reached on an error, then Bennett and Ronny H walked, and Arxy H. grounded into a forceout. 0 runs.
  18. First two batters (Burrowes and Tapia) struck out against the 24 year-old pitching against them.
  19. Ryan Burrowes, all three Hernandezes (Arxy 3b, Erick LF, and Ronny, c) Carlos Jimenez and Godwin Bennet both have power, and I am intrigued by Arnold Prado, cf. He hit well in the DSL but has shown that much pop yet.
  20. Ha ha, I am not, but I am going to the game on Thursday.
  21. No one is terrible when facing the Sox lineup.
  22. Twins next embark on the Rays and Jays road trip. Those teams are not as hot as when the Sox saw them, but this could be the moment when the Central has no teams above .500.

Haseley 4-4 w/2bb and a walk-off 3 run HR. He is so close to being a competent mlb player.
  24. WTF is he swinging at?
  25. Man, this guy throws no strikes ever.
