  1. Acuna had an OPS+ of 62 last year. In 2400 minor league at bats he has 41 HR and an OPS of .741. Guy’s a R/R tweener who is probably a utility player and a pinch runner. Mets got all the upside here. Frankly, I would rather have a couple of teenaged lottery tickets.
  2. Horrific trade. Acuna is not really a starting caliber player and the other guy is a 12th rounder from last year. WHO the hell is gonna play center. Pure. Salary. Dump.
  3. Stone turns 79 halfway through through the season. I’d imagine he’s not in the booth much longer regardless of the ownership situation.
  4. I assume they’ll be looking for a dart throw Ala Fajardo.
  5. That’s sad. He started like half the games one year in my childhood. An all-time Sox great. RIP
  6. It might if you get to 100% revenue sharing, which might lead to a 3 year lockout. Also, draft picks transform franchises much more quickly and completely than they do in baseball, so free agents in baseball are probably more valuable than they are in football.
  7. Super teams get built with Max contracts and salary caps too. Competitors want to play for winners. A salary floor probably fixes nothing.
  8. As a flyer 1b, not horrible. He’s not an outfielder. That puts a lot of pressure on the bat. Best case scenario he’s lotta power, lotta walks, lotta Ks. So, not that many pathways to success for him.
  9. Okay, death, but first Conforto!
  10. In a world where Tucker gets $57 mil per year and Bichette is getting $40 is Robert even overpaid? $20 mil for a good defensive cf who might hit 20 dongs in 100 games is not bad. I’d rather keep him than watch Ryan Clifford in the of. But that’s me. I am on a quest to not lose 100 games again.
  11. Griffin is a no doubt shortstop. Does anyone else in their Top 10 stay at the position? Maybe Miller, Bonemer, and Rainer. But doubtful. Otherwise, definitely not.
  12. I love a run this long about a potential trade exactly zero industry sources are speculating about. It’s not a rumor. It’s baseball fanfic. It tells how long the wait until pitchers and catchers report is going to be.
  13. $35 mil seems rich for Bregman, but the cubs can afford it.
  14. Wow. He was on PEDs? And that bad?
  15. Iriarte still being on this list is insane imho.
  16. I agree with them 100%. I've had him as the top Sox prospect since midseason. For me, he's their best-looking A-ball player since Colson.
  17. I would throw Oppor into the top group for 2027. His stuff is such that, if it clicks in AA, he could come fast.
  18. Finally a reason to hate the Astros.
  19. Personally, I always enjoyed @Harold's Leg Lift especially on the minors side. He had his takes, but if you respected him, he always respected you. Sorely missed.
  20. Meh. Unlikely to be anything, but gives Fuller the ultimate project. If he fixes Kelenic, he’s The One.
  21. I think they’re better off from the right side than others do. Taylor had freakishly bad luck. I think he’s a stud. Leasure looked like a leverage arm late last year, especially if that splitter continues to develop. Berroa has a shot. Vasil is more lucky than good, but he has the stones to pitch late. It’s the lefties I don’t like.
  22. If the Sox sign Imai, they’re basically a .500 team. In that division, that would make you a contender. Let’s get it done!
  23. Obviously, if they sign Imai, that pushes everyone else down. Suddenly Burke could be leverage. One of the young guys could come up in relief. Adding good players makes everyone you have more useful.
  24. Antonacci is bigger than Meidroth and has at least avg raw power. Whether he gets to it is another matter entirely. They are shockingly similar. I think there’s room for both in a roster. Maybe neither get 500 PA, though.
