  1. Nice inning for Taylor. Love seeing him come in and pump strikes.
  2. 5 and dive for Fedde. Kinda weird with 60 pitches, but with the off day tomorrow Venable is going for it.
  3. Rough day at the plate for Colson.
  4. Attaboy, Sam!
  5. Are they that young? I get McGonigle, but who else? Dingler, I guess, but Greene is a vet at this point. Torkelson is just a guy. Carpenter is a hot and cold platoon bat. They need some of their prospects to come through for sure.
  6. In 5 innings, Romo has made the last out 3 times. Not easy.
  7. Bradley very fortunate to leave this game with just 4 earnies. 12 baserunners plus an error in fewer than 5 innings? He should have given up 7 or 8.
  8. I wonder what one playoff run is worth given that he’d also cost over 10 mil in salary. A comp pick with the additional bonus pool money is not nothing. You’d need to get a couple of pretty decent prospects to make it worth your while.
  9. Colson gets into funks where he expands the zone a bit. Given his in zone contact rate, that’s pretty deadly. Do not like how many opportunities they’re wasting in this game. Could come back to haunt.
  10. Sox continue to waste opportunities on the road. They have to get 1 there. Losing Antonacci on the bases and that DP is keeping the Twins in the game.
  11. Fedde doing what you need to do after getting a lead. Let’s keep scoring.
  12. This line up tells you how bad their relationship is with Frank. Also, I don’t think it’s great with post-managing Robin either.
  13. I believe there’s gonna be a floor even if there’s no hard cap, which means the Sox have to add payroll. Also, they are headed for a significant 40 man crunch. I could see them packaging a few guys who have to be protected this winter for an arb eligible type from another team. Don’t have a name in mind, but smart teams like the Rays are always rotating the stock of guys on their 40 man so they get something for them.
  14. Standing up straighter is the correct answer. Kiley was mistaken.
  15. I would love to hear the reasoning. Sandlin hasn’t been above 80 pitches all year. He had just been bludgeoned in the 4th. Absolutely makes no f***ing sense. I was shocked when I saw him still in the game.
  16. Shocking decision by Venable here.
  17. Why the f*** is Sandlin still in this game?
  18. First pitch was a strike Quero should have challenged. Now, their challenges don’t matter
  19. Lotta hits off the cutter tonight.
  20. 1-8 w/RISP. That was their problem last road trip. Shame they haven’t been able to get runners over either.
  21. Wow. That would take cajones. Could be a superstar, but needs a swing change. Scary.
  22. Two out bloop hit. Unfortunate.
  23. That is a tough way to start a game. Gotta get at least one there.
  24. You never have to question the effort of this team, especially Vargas. Save opportunity goes to the guy from the Indy league.
  25. The other two guys hit the ball over 100 mph. Suffice to say Murphy did not help himself today.
