From what I've seen, Vargas cannot come close to playing OF. I think he is 1B, 3B, or DH. If he hits, that's fine. If he doesn't, not much utility to him.

If Ramos hits, he may find himself with a starting job as an outfielder. That’s how desperate the Sox are.

If they rendered Vaughn after his first 6 weeks last year, they are gonna let him try to work his way out of this too. We are stuck watching him for at least the first 3 months.
