6/12 Sox @ Stros 7:10PM CT
Guys do it enough that there’s a term “platinum sombrero” or “Olympic rings” to describe it. Generally, I like Slater well enough but he and Elko absolutely killed them last night. Maybe Slater should have kept the stache?

2025 MiLB Catch All thread
McDougal’s emergence is one of the best things that could have happened to the Sox this year. The stuff is absolutely elite and he is still just 22. Kinda replaces Grant Taylor in my rotation dreams if Taylor does end up staying in the bullpen.

6/12 Games
Charlotte got walked off, but Clevinger pitched well for the second straight start. Hard to imagine he doesn't get the call at some point. Not loving it, but what you gonna do?

6/12 Games
Schultz also goes 5.2. 1H 0R 5bb 7K. So... I dunno. He was so dominant at the same level last year. He's still very good, but the walks are kind of shocking.

6/12 Games
Good night for McDougal 5.2 1ER 1bb 7K. He's their #3 pitching prospect right now. Probably top 15 in the system. Schultz no hits through 5, but 4bb and 6K.

Another rough outing for Pallette. I wonder if he is struggling with the AAA ball or what. His control has completely deserted him.

And that's a 4-2 WHITE SOX OVER TRASHCANS WINNER
Over a .333 win percentage. The dream is coming true.

To be fair, I have never been off the Baldwin bandwagon.

2025 MLB Draft
Picking Kilen when the Sox already have Meidroth, Baldwin, Sosa, Gonzalez, Bergolla, Perez, Antonacci, and Mogollon -- all of whom project best at 2b -- would be an odd choice. I understand that you don't draft for need, but building a roster from 2b instead of ss would be so White Sox.

Grant Taylor set to join White Sox in HOU
Hmm, interesting question. Judging Getz on 2 years of managing the smoldering, bombed out wreck he inherited isn't entirely fair. I'll say that Williams had moments where he was a great individual contributor. Not sure he was great at building and maintaining an outstanding team of executives. Not sure Getz is much individually, but he seems to work better with others than Kenny ever did.

Grant Taylor set to join White Sox in HOU
Not a fan of moving Taylor out of the rotation, BUT if you do it, you gotta bring him right up. AA hitters had nothing to teach him. It looked like a guy chucking wiffle balls past preschoolers. So, good, I guess.

6-5 now. Zavala another hit and an rbi. 3-5 with a HR

6/8 Games
Adisyn Coffey bails out Charlotte, they win 10-9. Winston gave up 2 HR in the 9th. Despite 12 hits and 5 walks, they are in extras tied 5-5.

Disastrous outing for Pallette. 5 runs without an out. Ouch.

GT: Sox vs Royals 1:10 PM CHSN
Lorenzen is throwing about 1 fastball an inning. Young team = a lot of offspeed.
-
6/8 Games
Antonacci 2-2, 3bb. Getting him back has completely changed that offense.

Meidroth is just a ballplayer. Fun to watch.

Alexander has faced 6 guys, 4 have reached. Beginning to understand why he was available.

HR Zavala. He’s feeling it.

GT: Sox vs Royals 1:10 PM CHSN
Caglianone is gonna be fine. I am glad they are leaving town. Gonna be a pain to watch that guy for the next 6 years. Off the subject: Have you ever watched a broadcast that talked about the game less? It’s been like watching an episode of Fallon.

Feel for Vasil. Makes one mistake, it’s to the guy who was going to be his last guy anyway.

6/8 Games
Here’s something crazy: The current active Sox roster has only 3 guys who batted for the 2014 White Sox (Benintendi, Robert, and Vargas. Charlotte has 7 (Baldwin, Ramos, DeLoach, Fletcher, Julks, Vaughn, and Lee).
