And that's a White Sox Comeback Walk-Off Winner !!!

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 09:36 AM) Bauer has top of the rotation stuff. The White Sox won't be alone in having problems hitting this guy. You pretty much have to try to work deep into counts and get him on pitch count, because you probably aren't going to beat his stuff. He's got good stuff but I don't think he's as good as the Sox have made him look. -
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:13 AM) Royals sold 63,000 $1 hot dogs Friday night. Their fans are not happy: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-leag...-231154948.html Looking at those pictures is the newest fad diet.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 08:55 AM) If nothing else you have to catch the ball and hope you can nail the runner on appeal for leaving early. Or just throw your poor pitcher's ERA a bone. -

Huge emotional difference between 4-8 after another lackluster offensive performance (Bauer, btw, is showing signs that he's the next guy in the division that the Sox just won't be able to figure out) and 5-7 after that epic hit parade. Hopefully that's the springboard that gets the offense going. Eaton's reaction after his basehit was adorable. -
QUOTE (raBBit @ Apr 19, 2015 -> 12:18 PM) I don't know how baserunning is calculated within WAR but Eaton has to be a full WAR negative. Just terrible. You have to get on base to rack up that kind of total.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 02:53 PM) How has Drabek looked? Stepped away for a bit. Like he doesn't quite know where the ball is going.

Putnam looked pretty good there, a couple soft grounders.

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 02:19 PM) Hawk mentioning,Scott,Ruffcorn. It was a little off as he made 3 appearances in 1993 before makimg the start mentioned agaimst Cleveland in 1994. He gave up 7 runs in 4 innings. Fun fact: Scott Ruffcorn appeared in 30 games in the major leagues. His team's record in those games is 0-30. That's gotta be a record. Sale through 6, I'd say he's done. Let Drabek mop up.

Where was that 1-0 pitch??

Also the East most definitely still sucks.

This would be an excellent inning to not allow any runs.

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 18, 2015 -> 12:39 PM) I would absolutely love for balta or DA to throw this in my face in October after the Sox win the World Series, but I hate this Sox team so far. Nothing worse than a boring team that plays stupid and lacks energy. They're digging themselves into a hole that might be too big to get out of in the division. I'm quickly getting there.

QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 10:55 PM) Is there any history of GMs coming out and saying something like "of course we're sending his ass down for 12 days. It gets us another year of control." What happens PR-wise in that case? It's not about the PR, it has something to do with the players' union having cause for legal action. A GM will never be honest about that.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) Challenges are just much less tactical or needed in baseball. and it's the NINTH inning, not the first. Very true, Robin had nothing to lose. But specifically in terms of trusting your players and all that, your guy's word isn't always ironclad.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:48 PM) Someone added this quote in the game thread. There's no way Alexei didn't know that you don't say things like that in public. Actually I misremembered the quote, that's as direct as callouts get.
-
QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:43 PM) Wait what? Who has done that? They're referring to Alexei's quote that he 100% made the tag and the play should have been challenged. "Callout" might be a strong term here, but there are lines to read between.

QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:40 PM) He got word from his respected, All-Star, vet SS and ignored it. That's the kicker. But how many times have football players (even vet ones) finished a play and begged their coach to challenge whatever it was, and then you see the replay and they're so far off you wonder where the hell they just were? I don't think you can always trust what your players tell you.

Dan Hayes @CSNHayes 1m1 minute ago Robin Ventura: "You think about (challenging) anyway if you get a maybe, yeah you think about doing it. I didn’t even get a maybe." What-****ing-ever. Who cares whose fault it was the most. It's just a rotten loss. I'm bummed, but mostly I'm still puzzled how the ump missed that. He was right on top of it.

QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:29 PM) What was Maddon ejected for? Probably arguing balls and strikes. Myers took an 0-2 pitch that looked like it had the bottom of the zone right before hitting the go-ahead homer.

QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 03:01 PM) Here. If you still think he's safe after watching this, I'd suggest you go to an eye doctor. https://t.co/WcAMKvS5Yl LOL how does the ump miss that? What a crappy way to lose a game.

QUOTE (shysocks @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 11:37 AM) I hope Bryant strikes out 5 times, 10 games in a row, just so Scott Boras looks stupid. 1 down, 49 to go.

QUOTE (bmags @ Apr 17, 2015 -> 01:33 PM) Great at bat from Emilio. LOL I enjoyed this.
