I'm all in favor of Dye as the DH next season, but honestly, do you think he's just gonna accept the demotion? It's partly a slap in the face. "We don't think you can play the outfield position you've been playing for 13 years anymore" Some guys have a hard time adjusting to only playing half the game as far as staying warm etc. JD seems like a pro, but you never know....

I think Beckham needs to finish with around 15 HR's to seal it. Homers are the sexier stat and will help nail down the ROY award. Also unlike MVP you definitely don't have to be on a winning team to win the award, but if Gordon is helping on the big push, it should help him.

Wise just needs to go.... But honestly Ozzie wants him on this team for some f***ing reason. The Mendoza Line is gonna get a new name if Wise is here after CQ gets back....

If he's not 100% this is a bad move to rush him back up. If he's running fine than I'm all for it. The whole "will be replaced for defense in the later innings" make me think they'll keep Anderson and DFA Wise, but who knows what goes on in Ozzie's head...

It doesn't matter how good the team is playing as it pertains to voting. Apparently there just aren't enough White Sox fans in existence who vote. Not one starter voted in in 2005 when they we're playing great. Or in 2000. There have been plenty of Sox players worthy, and who weren't even close to the number of votes needed. Someone is gonna have to light the world on fire to ever get the starting job again. It boggles my mind sometimes. Mauer is from Minnesota which was almost contracted 7 years ago, and a smaller market than Chicago. Voted in. Longoria from TB a team that's been around for 10 years and struggled to sell out the playoffs. Voted in.
