The things that Leno is "famous" for as far as "comedy" bits are concerned is Jaywalking and Headlines, neither of which involve him being funny. They're about pointing out simple typos in newspapers and interviewing people with are f***ing morons (some of whom I'm sure are faking it just to get on TV) f***ing ANYONE could do that. Those bits arent dependent on Jay Leno being at all humorous... Jeff Dunham and Jay Leno...Oh how the cotton hairs love 'em...

Uni Watch: Sox uniform history plus...new uni ideas?!
Cali replied to knightni's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I do agree that they wear the Black Alternates waaaaay too much. The home and away jersey's are so perfect, but I wouldn't be mad if they changed them. -

No one else noticed that a few times the article references the "2006" playoffs and world series? Haha

Cole needs to get out like right now. Yes the show needs an antagonist but this actor sucks and just makes horrible character choices. So frigging annoying. Lucy is weird cause they're trying to shoehorn her into "Girl JD" and I don't know of that's gonna work for me. Drew is probably the favorite of the newbies. A perfect match for Denise, who's tough exterior kinda dude-chick thing was gonna get old real fast if she does it for another season. Overall it was better than I expected. Give it some time post JD to see how it finds it's footing.

QUOTE (Middle Buffalo @ Dec 1, 2009 -> 10:22 AM) I've never heard of 12 of those bands. Which 12?

^ That's another thing. I LOVE going to live concerts. Getting to experience the emotion of a live performance is just amazing. It bums me out when bands come on my iPod that have broken up/have dead members cause I know I'll never get the chance to see them live and in person...
-
This is gonna be a completely unpopular position, but I'll say it anyway. I understand what those top 4 bands did for music and that they inspired bands I listen to now etc. But I could really give a s***. I can't connect with a band that had their height in popularity and influence decades before i was born. I think it's a little weird to be 25 and the Beatles are your favorite band ever. My mom lived through Beatlemania, I could never like or appreciate that band as much as she did.

QUOTE (flavum @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 02:39 PM) Not sure about the dogpile after the game, but good for CJ. It's unbelievable how many times he comes through in those situations. I like Morel's swing. Seems like a solid player. really? I loved that dog pile. They're just kids having fun playing the game they love. Jordan's face was priceless, pure joy.

QUOTE (bmags @ Nov 21, 2009 -> 05:19 AM) this was a really fun list until #1 came. I thought I had broadened my music tastes since I stopped being "all metal all the time." I own 7 of the 50 albums on that list haha. I got some work to do...
-
I dont get the Green Day hate. They were the first band I ever got in to. Yeah they stumbled a bit to try and find a way to top Dookie, but that led them to completely re-invent themselves 10 years later and release one of the best albums of the decade and one of the most important albums to me personally in American Idiot. They are also such an amazing live band, so f***ing tight musically. People fear change and experimentation from your favorite band is like a curse word, but I love it, and I will follow most bands no matter what the sound is.
-
Wow, a lot of the older bands I assumed would be in the top 10 are appearing in the higher numbers. Maybe it won't be so generational at the end. Cept the beatles 1 and proably Dylan 2

The av club releases their best albums of the decade list

I probably gonna post my whole list once all 50 have been named.
