It's simple, the team with the best record against the the division is going to win the division. Beating the Royals and Twins is just as important as the Tigers. Think of it this way, if they Sox won 2 of 3 against Detroit then got swept by the Twins would you be okay with it cause you beat the Tigers? I sure wouldn't. Losing to Minnesota and KC at crucial times the last few years has contributed big time to the Sox not winning the division.

AL Central Wins = AL Central Title

This team needs another 5-6 game streak badly. They cant go into another funk-after-winning-streak thing again. That's about the only thing they've done consistently this season haha

No doubt he'll be scouring the waiver wire with the needs of the team right now on the bench and in the pen. Those type of smaller guys will be more available than huge impact guys. It will be interesting to see where the club is in a month and who will be available.

Looking ahead at August I'm seeing 17-11 or 16-12.... Putting them at 73-56 (or 72-57) heading into almost all AL Central in September.

Huge game tomorrow. Peavy needs to step up and the Sox face the Twins best pitcher (who I think they'd never seen)

I would not be surprised one bit if Myers is closing for the Sox down the stretch (and thats the exact reason why KW got him -- insurance). Reed is scary right now and I don't know if I can take his ninth innings in August and September haha Liriano looked filthy, If he can cut down those walks, he is gonna be a nice nice addition to this team... Still need more consistency from the offense though. They've been this way all season, but they need to get together at the right time and put more than 2 or so games between them and Detroit.

On AVERAGE Blackburn is giving up almost 8 runs. Again I ask what the issue here is? 1-0 is unacceptable.
