  1. QUOTE (balfanman @ Aug 6, 2012 -> 11:13 AM) And in other news. As close as they've been this whole time they probably wind up splitting it and then it comes down to the last freakin' day of the season haha
  2. The 4 game series at home with the Tigers September 10-13 may decide the Division.
  3. Yeah I don't know about this. I understand Humber is awful, but Sale & Peavy need to be pitching effectively down the stretch and I think extra rest will allow that to happen...
  4. Cali

    2013 Rotation

I'm 95% sure Kenny will sell high on Q this off-season (Assuming he doesn't completely implode here down the stretch...which is looking likely after his last few starts) I also think Liriano is back.
  5. Sox are 15-8 against the AL West with 9 games left (3 vs. OAK, 3 vs. SEA, 3 @ LAA) Detroit 8-13 against the AL West with 12 games left
  6. Another thing I think favors our boys is how much more consistent they are both at home and on the road. Sox are +6 at home +5 on the road. Detroit is +10 at home -2 on the road. This season will come down to this: 9/7-9/16 10 Game Road Trip for Detroit @ LAA for 3 @ SOX for 4 @ CLE for 3 Also the end their season with 6 straight away from Comerica (@ KC @ MIN)
  7. It took a sweep of a team playing the worst ball in the league for Detroit to go 6-6 after sweeping the Sox -- who are 9-3 since the sweep.
  8. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) You hate to see them have the momentum heading into Yankees series (and having Verlander going). It's been four months and they've yet to find any momentum. I thought for sure they'd go on a tear after they swept the Sox but they did the opposite. That settled it for me in 2012: The Tigers aren't that good of a team. They're inconsistent as s*** (as our the Sox) that's why it's gonna be a fight all the way till the end.
  9. If a three game sweep of your direct rival doesn't get you going, I don't think a miracle comeback against an awful team where at the end of the day you gain ZERO ground will either. All Detroit did was lose another game left in the season. I say this is more deflating for them. Sox won 2 of 3 against a damn good team with comebacks in all three games. Detroit beat up on the slow kid and still needed to score almost 10 runs to do it. f*** em.
  10. I was gonna go to a bar to watch this game, but I might put the place out of business if I have to watch this crap...
  11. The Sox have been lucky this year with only one rain out, but I still hate them. Don't wanna kill any momentum this team has after last night...
  12. I'm f***ing glad I can't watch this game... Sox won't score again tonight...
  13. Honestly, when was the last time the other team didn't score right after the Sox scored? I'm sure it was some random game recently, but it feels like WEEKS to MONTHS...
  14. The Indians are awful, but watching Anibal Sanchez, I'm not impressed at all. If he was facing a halfway competent offense he'd be getting rocked. Very blah stuf...
  15. The Reds have snuck up and grabbed the best record in the bigs... Pretty good for a team I can't really name many players on besides Votto (who's been injured) and Chapman...
  16. Just flipped on the Marlins/Nats game and wow is the Marlins line up awful outside of Reyes right now. Ozzie just looks miserable whenever they've shown him...
  17. Since I cut the cord earlier this year, I can't watch any of these games at home haha. I'll have to go to a friends or a bar to watch any of this series...
  18. Angels coming in on two bad losses. One extra inning heartbreaker and one ass kicking. Hopefully they're coming in on a down note.
  19. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 12:11 PM) I need to get pissed at my bank account. It won't matter...You'll put a whole lot of money in there and then it will go on the disabled list, and you wont really know why you can't get your money out
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 2, 2012 -> 06:21 AM) the Indians are now closer in the standings to the Twins, than the White Sox. Second worse run differential in the AL. No one ever believed they were legit...
  21. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 1, 2012 -> 07:47 PM) Screw you Valverde. Did he do his bulls*** jig after he closed it out? I swear if someone had the balls to call him out on that I'd become an instant fan. Or better yet, that better, lets say strikes out for the third out. Just lightly toss/roll your bat/helmet right at that fat belly skinny legged POS.
  22. Haha man I was pissed.... I still stand by the fact that I think they should have interviewed more people before deciding on Ventura. He's worked out amazingly, but still a horrible hiring process that confused and angered the fanbase.
