  1. How many No-Hitters/Perfect Games have the Rays had pitched against them now?
  2. I hope the Sox line-up isn't just what the Doctor ordered for Romero
  3. Man, Halladay and Lincecum fell off a cliff and fast this season... I didn't even realize how not themselves they've been this season.
  4. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 15, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) False alarm. Scherzer strikes out the side, 5 K in 2 IP so far. That's the thing about Scherzer, he'll strike out 12 in 5 IP but give up like 4-5 runs and throw a s*** load of pitches. What's the magic word? Inconsistant.
  5. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Aug 15, 2012 -> 10:42 AM) Bobby Knight said if you start doing what the fans want, you wind up sitting next to them. I thought that was Marv Levy?
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 15, 2012 -> 10:26 AM) If Ventura is half of the manager I think he is, he could give a s*** less what the fans think. NO manager should give a s*** what fans think. He should give a s*** if the team isn't playing well and recognize that sometimes changes need to be made, as he's done already this season. I still say the only way he's gonna change the line-up onces Paulie's back is if they slip out of first place again.
  7. That's the only quote I didn't like. Better hoping the line-up magically starts clicking again when Paulie gets back, or us people in the "Rios third, Dunn sixth" party are gonna start rocking the boat more.
  8. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 08:52 PM) Is is doom and gloom or confident the Tigers will take the division? It's the Internet. It's ALWAYS doom and gloom.
  9. Alright Addison 1-2-3 9ths are a thing. Remember that.
  10. Three easy groundouts to second?! THIS GAME IS OVAH! No, I'm not even that bad, but that first inning couldn't have been three more timid boring AB's. Pick it up guys, I know you don't care to score runs for Quintana but this rookie hazing is getting a little out of control...
  11. Goodbye Huddy? Probably not, but good bye Olmedo certainly
  12. f*** this pitcher and his "Two Last Names Name"
  13. It's funny that Dunn had his best game in probably months yesterday and gets bumped down in the order. I don't think it will affect him all that much though.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 02:51 PM) I wouldn't have been upset if Beckham was 2nd and Wise was 9th. However, I'm just happy to see Rios finally batting 3rd. In your ideal line up is Beckham 2 or 9?
  15. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 14, 2012 -> 01:53 PM) De Aza Wise Rios (say what) Dunn Youkilis Pierzynski Ramirez Viciedo dh Beckham Well that's something. Robin should keep that going once Paulie is back
  16. Heck of a final line for Santiago. 6.2 IP 0 ER 1 BB 5 K 95 pitches
  17. No team in baseball needs a 4-5 game winning streak more than the Sox (well except Detroit, but as previously established f*** Them)
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 13, 2012 -> 07:52 PM) True. The problem is they appear to have the Sox number. They mowed us down pretty efficiently that recent sweep in Detroit. Tonight was a tough loss. It's not easy for the Sox to win road games against East teams (except Boston for some reason before this season) and we get a stellar start from Peavy but can't muster 3 runs. Tomorrow's game is key. We need to even this series up before Toronto gets that sweep look in its eye. 4-7 vs. Detroit isn't that bad. Only looks bad because of the last sweep... with as up and down as both teams have been the Sox could easily sweep the next set and get the season series back to .500 again before the final four (and probably split those haha 8-8 vs. record) It's a crap shoot of inconsistency in 2012 Think about 2008. They Sox were 9-10 vs. Minny and got swept by them with 4 games to go and still wound up getting that last shot. Now obviously so much had to go right after that sweep and a little coin toss luck, but you don't have to dominate your direct competition to win the AL Central. Not in 08 and certainly not in 2012. That being said I hope the Sox go 7-0 in the final stretch.
  19. At least Detroit has proven to be 100% as inconsistent if not more so than the Sox this season.
  20. At least the Sox are on the better end of "No ground gained or lost" this time. Too many times saying that looking up at Minnesota or Detroit in the last few years.... The chances will eventually run out. So that's out hope for the Tigers to just run out of games haha. AL Central Winning Strategy right there.
  21. Man, Jake really wanted another CG loss didn't he?
