  1. So, you do realize there's a baseball package that can be purchased and you can watch ALL the games right? Haha
  2. That would be a great trade for the Reds. (And White Sox haha)
  3. If he does need surgery, what pisses me off is that Kenny could have traded him in the off-season and this team could have still been in contention since even when healthy Danks didn't contribute to the success of this team.
  4. Two Words = Garlic. Fries. Best I've ever had. Also, they have Fat Tire on tap. My girlfriend is from Seattle so I've been a few times, and it's easily my favorite ballpark I've ever been too. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. You'll wanna hope the roof is open, but even if it's not it's such a gorgeous park.
  5. I don't see Liriano grinding through a start like Floyd and Sale have recently. He's either gonna dominate or get shelled. Hopefully the offense can destroy Blackburn
  6. Hoping for a flurry of activity tomorrow. I imagine Kenny will be on the phone all day, but it remains to be seen if he can get anything done. Barring some blockbuster I imagine any upgrades will be to the bench or bullpen. As much as they need a second base upgrade, I doubt there is anyone available that the Sox could get.

    7/30 Games

Where the hell is Barnum? I thought he was supposed to be back this week?
  8. Alright Q pitch around Willinghammer and it should be good. Hope AJ calls a solid game. Also maybe don't give up a run after your offense puts some up for you. I swear that has happened almost every time for weeks now. Even when they win, so it's kind of annoying
  9. Glad he's being stretched out. I think There will be plenty of slots in the 2013 rotation. He could easily slide into that 4/5 spot if he can work the on the offspeed pitches...
  10. Wow. I've never seen the opposing teams announcer join the other broadcast booth during the pre-game.... So weird.
  11. On a side note I know Sanchez was the Sox Futures All Star this year, but besides Tank a few years ago, my memory is that the Sox FAS since it's inception have been some pretty laughable "prospects". I seem to remember Borchard going TWICE and Chris Getz going to NYC haha. Possibly even an Edwin Almonte sighting...
  12. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Jul 30, 2012 -> 03:22 PM) I think most people do. I don't see Sanchez as anything special, really. I think a lot of people really love Sanchez here. I've never seen it. At least Tyler has show flashes of power in the past (16 last year -- only 4 this year). Sanchez has hit a whopping 3 HR's in 865 AB's. That power ain't coming. I don't care if he is 20. Unless he starts taking PED's he's just gonna be a singles hitter with a high average in the Minors. No different than Jeremy Reed...
  13. Glad Tyler is getting moved up. I personally think Saladino >>>>>>> Sanchez as far as infield prospects go.
  14. Just out of curiosity how many new albums do you guys buy during the year? (And you know what I mean by "buy") I'm at 19 right now. But I have some more nerdy music friends who get 50+ sometimes...
  15. Youk hasn't had a multi-hit game since July 16th. That needs to change starting tonight. I want at least 2 doubles....
  16. If Thompson could improve his walk/contact rate a little, I could see him giving the Sox some Grad Sizemore like seasons. I wouldn't sell on him yet. Id trade Walker/Mitchell before I'd trade Trayce.
  17. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 28, 2012 -> 01:06 PM) See, now you did it to the Tigers. Alvarez just blew DET away today. 1-4 on their roadtrip, very similar to what happened with the Sox. Offense, similarly, has gone dormant and corpsy. Still have to play in Boston next, where they've struggled recently. Escobar had a homer, Rasmus 3 RBI's (HR) and hitting machine Encarnacion had yet another. Tigers "flat" and "tired" and taking lazy swings. Maybe passing the White Sox and taking first last weekend caused them to relax. I honestly thought about that last night. They were going by the usual Sox script of give them any adversity they fold like a card table... but somehow it actually WOKE the Sox up and now they're playing better, while Detroit sputters. They took their foot off the gas after that sweep, and the Sox jumped in the car...
  18. This is seriously unlike any Sox team I can ever remember following. They're not following the Chicago White Sox script we've known all too well in the last decade plus. They've been out of it only to actual put up a fight at several points in the season and stay in the race They are literally all over the map. Equally fun and f***ing aggravating to watch at the same time.
  19. What a weird division and season. The Tigers DOMINATE and sweep our Sox. The next 4 games? Det: 1-3 Sox: 4-0
  20. This thread has just become the catch-all now haha
  21. If Yu goes walk crazy tonight, they MUST make him pay...
