  1. Tigers lose. Sox about to blow a golden opportunity.
  2. 2004 White Sox in First for 59 days (July 24th the last day) 2006 White Sox in First for 36 days (The last time on May 20th) And even though I wouldn't count it the '94 Sox were in first for 84 days
  3. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 08:19 PM) Braves 0-12 on Monday's. Outscored 61-15. Braves = Garfield.
  4. Christ what happened to Justin Smoak? Seemed like for a time last season he might have figured it out. Currently batting .191 with 13 bombs and a .578 OPS -- which is almost a hundred points below Beckham right now. Both guys are pretty big 2008 draft busts right now.

    Walker's strong season seems like nothing more than increasing his trade value. With Hawkins drafted this year, I wouldn't be surprised if the organization finds him expendable now...
  6. Any word on who they got back? These pitchers any good?
  7. Anyone know if there's a record for number of days a Sox team was in first without making the playoffs? 62 seems like a lot to me (especially a bummer for a team I don't think will make the playoffs)
  8. Anyone know if there's a record for number of days a Sox team was in first without making the playoffs? 62 seems like a lot to me (especially a bummer for a team I don't think will make the playoffs)
  9. When was the last time Addison had a 1-2-3 inning? May?
  10. No way Beckham is on the 2013 White Sox. Either a trade or non-tender in the offseason. He just does not have the mental capacity to play baseball in Chicago. Maybe elsewhere but it's never gonna happen here.
  11. Here's a lineup I wanna see: De Aza Ramirez Youkilis Rios Konerko Dunn AJ Tank Beckham
  12. So here comes a 1-2-3 for Liriano
  13. Took a few mins. But there are the boo's this team deserves of late.
  14. QUOTE (northside sawx @ Jul 23, 2012 -> 05:09 PM) There's a s***load of people there tonight. 30k+ I'd say it looks like 30K disappointed fans pretty soon....
  15. The few people actually at the stadium tonight should Boo the s*** out of this team for the way they played on that road trip. And how many games they lost to Detroit.
  16. That's crazy that he could in theory start tonight for the Yankees in Seattle (More than likely happen tomorrow though) Sucks though. Ichiro certainly deserves a shot at a ring but I would have preferred he go anywhere else but the Yankees (and Tigers for obvious reasons) I thought for sure he'd be a career Mariner.
  17. This will not go well... He could no hit them again. Or at the very least it will be a dominant start. This could be his last chance to make an impression and get traded to a contender so he'll wanna pitch his ass off and he's owned the Sox in the past. Just so much could go wrong tonight, I'm afraid to watch... But I will anyway.
  18. I'm shocked the team has done as well as they have. I had them losing 90+, but as someone mentioned before this story has happened many MANY times. Except for 2008 The only way they can make the playoffs is to run and hide early. This team doesn't have the ability to fight from behind. Hasn't for years. Call it bad luck, call it a lack of toughness, but this team is done. They might sniff close to first again, maybe get .5 up on Detroit, but they're hot and have shown the ability to turn it on and go off in the second half. The White Sox havent and won't in my opinion. Relying on a rookie pen and an inconsistant offense. Coupled with long DL trips for starters who even when healthy weren't performing like a team in the pennant. I hope Robin has the guts that Ozzie never did and makes a drastic change to the starting line-up. It's needed and it's the only way they have any sort of chance to make any kind of run... I just don't see it (massive changes or a run) on the horizon. By the way, I'm in NO WAY happy to think this. It pisses me off to think so negatively, but history doesn't give me a choice and it's such a bummer...
  19. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 12:36 PM) Half joking. But I'd never, ever hit a female. Expect a commendation from N.O.W. in the mail any day now haha
  20. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 12:19 PM) Um, I guess I'll say it because nobody else has. The dude literally punched his wife in the face. I hate women. But c'mon now. I ain't supportin' this dude. This is a terrible transaction. Even if you're joking that doesn't make you sound much better haha
  21. f*** Detroit and f*** FOX
  22. According to Gameday that last pitch by Jake to Avila was 47 mph. I think they were a bit off....
  23. This is the season as far as I'm concerned. Gotta win 2 of 3. These are the types of games under Ozzie they lost the last few seasons. This needs to be different. Especially after last night, Robin or team leaders need to make a speech pre-game. If this team can't get it up for this series they do not deserve to be in the playoffs. That's it.
  24. Damn... Definitely on Robin. Momentum is a b****, could be a looooooooooong weekend
  25. I think we're witnessing the end of the Indians "run" in 2012 right about now...
