  1. There was a graphic shown last year (if someone finds it, that would be great) that showed how many employees were in each analytics department and sales teams. Teams like the Astros, Dodgers, Rays, Cubs, Yankees(?) were significantly higher in analytics than the White Sox. It was an embarrassingly low number in comparison. It was the opposite for the sales team: Sox were significantly higher than those other teams. The Rays literally have a blueprint for how to spend cheaply on players and be successful and Jerry's like "Nah, I'm good."
  2. A lot of sales people. Put a good product on the field and the team sells tickets itself.
  3. You would think so since this actually one of the couple successes. But it's probably because he was drafted pre-Getz GM days.
  4. One can argue the new bullshit playoff format hurt them last year. There’s no benefit finishing with one of the two best records and not playing 3-4 days in a row and then having to play a team that just grinded their way into next round.
  5. No, they are not policing the upper deck. You can probably wait until day of and buy on Stubhub.
  6. The problem is, most teams (likely) don't have 6-7 in their top 10 that should be worth those two. Better to split them up.
  7. The way you keep pushing this makes me believe this is actually something that is being strongly considered. And to that, I say: f*** Jerry Reinsdorf.
  8. I fucking forgot TLR was still involved with the organization. Way to ruin a night.
  9. Just what a flailing bullpen needs: Michael Kopech
  10. In the guys like Moncada and Eloy, maybe (including buyout amount for next year). If anything just to add value to those guys. You’re on the hook for all of that if they don’t move anyway so might as well eat it in a trade.
  11. Don’t doubt a Jerry Reinsdorf owned Sox team.
  12. No one is more thankful for that short season than Eloy haha (although, he still got hurt at the end).
  13. Hopefully. But whether they are actually good contributors is another discussion.
  14. And with his remaining control, is more "trade candidate" than "staple on the next playoff Sox team."
  15. He came into that game out of the bullpen and tossed .2 innings FWIW.
  16. You would actually need to cherry pick stats that make Vaughn and Benintendi look like good players. Both bad players.
