Didn't Q have an extra 1.5 years? I thought he was traded with 3 full seasons left. Edit: Baseball Ref confirms: yes, he had over 3 years of control left. The remainder of 2017 and then 2018-2020.

Yeah there are a lot of solid MLB players still out there that can help a lot of teams, even if you remove the top 5-7 guys. Teams should be adding.

As someone else said, this org most likely just wants to move on from him, no matter how cheap he might sign for. I’d welcome him back on a 1 year cheap deal but the front office obviously knows more about he is in the clubhouse than we do.
