Apparently this is the 7th different contract he has signed with the Red Sox.

I would have rather have just paid he opt-out than this option.

Eh I didn’t put a whole lot of faith in his comments. He knew he wasn’t going to free agency as he took the QO the next day. If the Sox offered the most money, I bet he would have signed here.

Hopefully some more guys sign before time is up. You would think the DH/COF guys like Schwarber and Castellanos will wait until the new agreement to see if 15 more DH spots open up.

While I am good with Segura at this point, I'm just not sure why the Phillies have to send more back for Kimbrel unless it is a bigger deal or we are sending cash. Just my 2 cents.
