Yeah I remember they had a segment on him on MLBN back in like June. His mechanics this year were different from the time he was with Arizona and even 2020 with the Jays (there was a change in mechanics post-trade in 2020 when he was with Jays).

It would be nice if they actually moved Abreu down when he struggles but he seems entrenched in the 3/4 spot of the lineup no matter what.

Some activity around the league and some moves by the Sox would be nice before the lock out.

I never said they don’t make serious offers. But they felt more confident making that deal for 5 years rather than other star pitchers who are younger 7+ years. Having said that, I think Semien could be realistic because he’s not a guy signing for $200+ mill since he’s 31 and could get a high AAV 5 year (or 6) deal rather than a player who can sign for 10 years $300+ mill. Conforto also realistic I would say because he’s not a star getting a crazy deal. 9 figures probably but not you know, 2/300 mill.

It’s not so much that they are “fake” offers. It’s more that they are trying to get the mega-deal type players at their price which, what they end up signing for is never really the case.

Brantley is in LF (shares LF/DH duties with Alvarez. I think Marte would be CF though like you said.

I've been watching the Sam Raimi Spider Man movies with my fiancee since she has never seen them. There's definitely things I like about that series more than the Tom Holland one. I like that the suit isn't high tech and the feeling of not being in someone's else's shadow each movie.

That's fair. Personally not a fan of the Iron Man and Thor (besides third one) movies. Love the characters but not their movies, really.

They pretty much already need one reliever to replace Kopech and another to replace Tepera (unless they re-sign him). Trading Kimbrel (unless you get a younger reliever or two in the deal that you can plug into the bullpen) makes 3.

I agree with this. I just more meant I don’t think they will get a productive piece from a team’s lineup that struggled offensively that is looking to compete.
