A guy I would have liked to add if he was available is Ross Stripling. A good swing guy who goes back and forth between the rotation and pen and puts up decent numbers doing it (minus 2020). Someone like that would be a good add since we are going to need rotation depth.

Who else is someone we could realistically add on a minor league deal? Maybe Matt Shoemaker?

Yeah I get it during a pandemic. I kinda wish the runner on second to start the inning would start in like the 12 or something, giving each team 3 chances to win it with regular rules.

True unfortunately. It's scary that we are a pitching injury away from Lopez and Rodon being in the rotation. And that's assuming Rodon isn't already injured yet again, which is always highly likely.

Walker is basically the only guy out there (remaining) that I want. If he doesn't go to Sox, then I hope he goes to Mets or Angels for my 6-leg division winner parlay I bet on lol

Why? Plenty of crap teams can guarantee a guy like this a spot in the rotation. It's not really that disappointing the Sox missed out on him.

He seems like a guy who can get better with consistent at bats, which he will not get here in a backup role.

He got hit with an 80 suspension in August of 2018 that he still hasn't fully served (didn't get any credit towards serving it last season since he wasn't with a team).

I don't disagree but they apparently might go with that for a couple weeks.
