  1. Not going with Realmuto, they can probably grab Springer and Bauer too.
  2. Seconded. This is making me miss going downtown for work every day lol
  3. Baseball fans love to see movement. I think that it is as opposed to the actual move itself.
  4. This exactly. One day, they go all in on a rental SP. The next, its the scrap heap for RF.
  5. I love that this will never die.
  6. The only way I can see that is if they add Brantley and putting him in the middle of the order, bumping everyone down.
  7. I would love to get Brantley: 1. Anderson SS R 2. Moncada 3B S 3. Abreu 1B R 4. Brantley DH L 5. Jimenez LF R 6. Grandal C S 7. Robert CF R 8. Eaton RF L 9. Madrigal 2B R
  8. Might as well stack the bullpen at this point and make it monster.
  9. 1. Anderson SS R 2. Moncada 3B S 3. Abreu 1B R 4. Jimenez LF R 5. Grandal C S 6. Robert CF R 7. Vaughn DH (unless they sign someone else unless Brantley. If Brantley, put him higher and bump everyone down a spot) 8. Eaton RF L 9. Madrigal 2B R
  10. Jerri is skipping the part of the rebuild when you are supposed to spend money because your young talent is cheap.
  11. Being a Sox fan is a sick joke. This is how we are re-paid for sitting through a rebuild (plus the years we sucked prior to rebuild)? Edit: I would have been ok with this move if it was just announced that we signed Trevor Bauer.
  12. Quintana is definitely the next signing lol
  13. This organization desperately needs a new owner.
  14. Posted this in another thread, but what if we signed one of Paxton/Kluber/Richards and then signed Q to be a long-reliever/spot starter (maybe he wants to pitch for a contender and doesn't want to leave Chicago?). Then your depth would be: 1. Giolito 2. Keuchel 3. Lynn 4. Paxton/Kluber/Richards 5. Cease Kopech to come up when he is ready for Cease if he is struggling or to replace someone who is injured Quintana long-relief/spot starter
  15. Yeah I'd rather just sign Paxton, Kluber, or Richards and then seeing if Q is interested in a long relief/spot starter role for when one of those guys inevitably goes down. 1. Giolito 2. Keuchel 3. Lynn 4. Paxton/Kluber/Richards 5. Cease Kopech to come up when he is ready for Cease if he is struggling or to replace someone who is injured. Quintana long-relief/spot starter.
  16. I was actually thinking, maybe the money saved from signing someone like Bauer (or trading for someone who would cost a lot) and trading for Lynn could go towards signing a guy like Brantley for a one year, high AAV deal.
  17. I don't believe he is. But he would jump all over it if we could offer him one.
  18. Trading for a 34-year old is a little different than trading for a guy who was on pace to be a free agent for the first time at the age of 30, likely looking at one big pay day in his career.
  19. Very fair take. And lol at that last one.
  20. This is the part where an 84-year old, who won't spend money, owning the team worries me.
