  1. Perfect spot to be. And it's always possible that people know something. People shouldn't hang onto their words like gospel and understand talks are always fluid.
  2. My thinking as well. You always hear about agreements being reached and then a corresponding move within a day after.
  3. At the same time, the guy seems pretty desperate for content/articles.
  4. Welp, this thread has become a tough follow.
  5. 100%. They can feel they have the best offer and something will happen soon but the player can still decide to wait a little longer.
  6. Wow. I kept thinking he was signed for one more year for some reason. Thanks.
  7. Yep. I liked him as a salary dump, swing man to open the year in the rotation and then shift to pen. Doesn't make sense now if he isn't ready for opening day.
  8. Still early. Who was the one who posted eye balls right before Grandal signed?
  9. Agreed. It would be so tempting to give that a shot even if they sign Wheeler.
  10. How many years do we expect Ryu to receive? Any chance he could take a high AAV (say $25 mill) on a one year deal? I feel he would be able to get a multi-year deal, but if teams are skiddish of his injury history and wants to do another pillow-type deal (there are a lot of SP available after all), I'd do something like that to go along with Wheeler. Of course, probably a pipe dream though.
  11. I'm not really advocating for one way or the other. I do prefer another left-handed hitter that can play at least average defense. But if they did sign Castellanos, I wouldn't hate it due to his bat.
  12. I've come around on the Castellanos idea. And if you decide you want someone else in RF after a year or two, you can likely trade him if you want to go with someone else.
  13. If I'm the Yankees, I'd at least give it a shot. What's the worst that happens? They pay him anyway?
  14. I mean, he could if he suddenly stops pressing since he doesn't need to be the guy anymore.
  15. I think he's saying knocked her up, jokingly? Could be wrong.
  16. I'd say Kalhoun personally, if they don't want to deal anything of value.
  17. Yeah they're pretty different free agents but sure.
  18. Anyone hear from Ron yet? Or did he have a stroke?
  19. I could see it. He can play a position above average so that at least puts NL teams in play.
  20. What about Collins? Part of a deal for a RF.
