All you really have to do is look around the league and realize there aren't many options. If no NL teams were that interested 2 years ago, they wouldn't be now. As badly as I would want him, I've been saying for months he's probably not opting out.

Agreed. If he didn't get his shot last year with that roster (even though he should have), he never will.

Especially if he is a guy who can give a half day off to Moncada every once in a while (Moose at 3 and Moncada at DH).

He should be part of the next wave of cuts.
