  1. Good time to get major surgeries.
  2. Once I get past this crucial deadline for work today, I'm fully taking advantage of playing The Show the rest of the week. Just gotta finish up a few smaller items in the morning and keep my phone or laptop nearby to monitor emails.
  3. Yeah speed ratings are all I touched. Boosted Anderson, Moncada and Madrigal a bit.
  4. At least they didn't trade for him like other teams dealt for guys with one year control (Betts).
  5. That was my thought when I read this yesterday.
  6. The roster came out yesterday (kinda messy though). And worth mentioning it's not just his work.
  7. Well he's not a free agent after this year so no. But to your point, I'm thinking no one gains service time since there are no games being played. So no, I don't think guys who are free agents after this season will be free agents.
  8. If the season is canceled, I really doubt anyone who would have been a free agent after this season would be granted free agency.
  9. No, and I don't think you're the first person to suggest this.
  10. If the season isn't played at all though (like the post I responded to said), why should they get service time? Way different between missing season due to injury and a league not playing games due to global pandemic. Also, if a guy was traded for and 0 MLB games were played this season due to coronavirus pandemic and that guy was eligible to leave in free agency, I would hope that the team that traded for him could reverse the trade and get they players they traded away back.
  11. I would think so. Since they wouldn't have the service time to be a free agent.
  12. If you think you have the symptoms but its not that bad, just stay in. You will live.
  13. Bob Sacamano replied to Whisox05's topic in Pale Hose Talk
    Weird.
  14. Maybe they can re-do the schedule to make up some of the games expected to be missed while still having most off days? Cut out all star game and break, expand rosters for this season to 30, make Saturdays doubeheaders, etc.
  15. Do you have a laptop already so you would be able to work remotely if this happens? My office being shut down until the 30th now, we have a new temp starting but we don't know when as we don't know when he/she will be able to get a laptop. And being someone who's been out of work as long as you, Jack, you absolutely need to go Monday if that is what they need. We're all pulling for you to succeed here.
  16. Wouldn't that effect a guy like Mazara? Rangets out him on the opening day roster when he first came up. Could we potentially see a third year of control (assuming we even want him beyond this one)?
  17. I'm the same. I have to be extremely desperate to play. And when I do play, it's pretty much all single player where I can finish it, enjoy the story and move on with my life. Can't do mindless shooters like Call of Duty or Halo.
  18. Same. I have a PS4 collecting dust. Haven't bought MLB in a few years and was thinking of buying this year's since it has been a while.
  19. To give an update on my situation, I was just on a call with my team. My boss said he was on a call and it doesn't sound optimistic that we will be back in the office next week.
  20. Like the store you go to to buy games on PC. I think that is what poster is referring to.
  21. Disney is a no-brainer at $93. Just bought some shares. Thought about waiting it out to see if it gets lower and if it does, I might just buy a few more anyway.
  22. Or they just don't make up the games not played the first couple weeks and when they start playing again, continue as is. Would be very difficult making all the games up. I think that would be likely scenario.
  23. Start on time with no fans. Would rather see that than canceling the first few series/weeks of the season.
  24. I do agree that it would get lonely. I have a cousin and friend who do it every day and I feel each goes stir crazy. Doing it twice a week would be great. Could make those my errand days when it is slower in the office. Or I can plan personal stuff better at least.
