  1. Mendick has started 321 games in the minors at SS. Think hes the guy.
  2. Not that I wanted him, but Zobrist isn't planning on playing this year and probably done with his career.
  3. I believe Rick or Ricky mentioned previously that it won't be a straight platoon in RF, at least not to start with.
  4. WOW. That's huge. Obviously, someone will still need to do a little work. Between now and the start of the season, so many guys will be cut and replacements will need to be added. Obviously not as much work as previous years (which I am fully grateful for).
  5. I don't think so. https://www.si.com/mlb/indians/opinion/puig-would-rub-any-manager-the-wrong-way-not-just-francona
  6. I would imagine Gennett is still holding out for a starting job somewhere. And it's worth mentioning he hasn't been tossed into the OF since 2017 so not sure that's a viable option. I think anyone they add for the bench will be someone who can play SS.
  7. Yeah I like the power potential off the bench personally. Any way they could grab Miller and Holt? Start Holt at 2B until Madrigal is ready and then go with a bench of McCann, Holt, Miller, Garcia (primary back up CF and hope he doesn't have to play over a long stretch of time if Robert gets hurt and platoon with Mazara)?
  8. Who's the best option, Brad Miller? Since he can play SS and 3B? Looks like Holt has played SS but who knows how well. Leury covered there for a stretch of time and we know how that looked.
  9. I was nervous that this was going to say Boras when I clicked in here.
  10. Already signed with the Padres.
  11. If you keep posting this in multiple threads, multiple times a day, eventually they will sign one. At this point, we all know who is left.
  12. Pretty obvious that he would try to go somewhere where he could potentially play every day. I would expect the same for Gennett.
  13. It's not 100% announced yet but it seems that way.
  14. I'm cool with them adding another wild card team in each league. Do 2 Wild Card games and the 2 teams with the best record in the league get to face the winner of each of those games. It expands the post-season a bit without going too overboard. And this works even better when the league goes from 30 to 32 teams. Go back to 2 divisions in each league and then you would have the first place team in each league as the "best record" teams and then the top 4 teams after that get to do a one-game playoff. Or make it a best of 3 series.
  15. I'm really into apocalypse themed games and horror in general. MLB The Show of course, Last of Us 2 comes out in May, Resident Evil 3 Remake in March, this game Daymare: 1998 has me intrigued since this started out as a game that fans were creating to be the Resident Evil 2 remake, until Capcom stopped them and created their own ( will probably buy this one later in the year when the price is lower).
  16. I usually don't anymore either, but between now and May there's like 4 games that I really want to play. After that, probably nothing for a couple years.
  17. I've convinced myself that this is a good idea, as long as it is cheap and they can cut him if there are any issues. Grandal has already backed him and I wouldn't hate for him to be the guy that gets regular at bats if/when Eloy or Mazara go down with injury.
  18. We're really discussing speeding with his mom in the car? Lol I'm an asshole for flying going over 100 on an empty highway with both my parents in the car coming home from Tennessee?
  19. Dude hit .297 with a .357 OBP against lefties last season. His overall career is just alright against lefties but I would take those 2019 numbers in a platoon all day.
  20. I feel like the Twins didn't do so bad here. Got a cheap starter under control for 3 years, $10 mill, and a prospect for a guy who seems likely ticketed for bullpen. Probably about a C here. Dodgers: A Red Sox: B
  21. Rays even have a lot of OF now so I'm not sure they are even a fit.
  22. Is Gavin Lux for sure the starting 2B for the Dodgers to open the year? If not, they can still find playing time for all their depth. Would require starting Bellinger or Pederson at 1B and shifting Muncy to 2B and using an OF of Bellinger/Pederson, Pollock and Betts. Chris Taylor and Kike Hernandez are bench/platoon guys mostly so there would still be PT for them against lefties. If Lux is their guy at 2B, I guess having Pollock as a backup OF/platoon with Joc for a while wouldn't be the worst. Plus injuries happen.
  23. I assume Dodgers would rather trade Pollock and move some of that salary (and probably have tried) but he just wouldn't have much interest.
