Jerry is getting up there in age to the point where he probably wouldn't even be paying the last couple years of a potential long-term deal. That also scares me and makes me feel like prospects can be dealt in a "go for it" season in a year or two as he also realizes this.

This should never be "expected" when Jerry owns the team.

Yeah it will probably be a rotating DH with Garcia and Collins being the extra bat most of the time while giving others a day to DH here and there.

That all said, I don't see how the Sox are not all over Bauer. This would be the off-season to try to get a guy on their terms (example: staring contest with Machado a couple years ago).
