  1. Yeah, there's literally about 10 other ideas that are better.
  2. I usually don't look at the creator until I click on the thread haha
  3. I love how you see this title and expect to at least see a link to a story like this is a legit article headline and might have facts. Not even close.
  4. If the answer is "not that much worse", sign JDM instead. Edit: I guess we have an answer lol
  5. I don't think he was really wrong about Machado. He seemed like he was going to sign here. If Padres don't jump in last minute, he's in Chicago.
  6. Yeah rumor is they want to save money (spend on pitching), play Goodwin in RF until Adell is ready. I did see they could pick up his option and deal him for whatever just to get something for him (he was also on a list of surprising players not moved at the trade deadline at the time).
  7. He wasn't bagging on the player. Read the rest of the post.
  8. Seems to be a perfectly good reason not to opt-out.
  9. There has even debate on this. Personally, if they stick with McCann as the starter next year, I'm good with it since he worked will with the pitchers and was good behind the plate. That's the most important job of the position.
  10. I don't see Gardner leaving the Yanks. One would say they have no room for him but the same could also be said last offseason.
  11. Wouldn't it also depend on how stacked your lineup actually is? The lineup has so much potential to have a legit talent at every spot. So your 3 worst hitters hitting 7-8-9 could still be quite good.
  12. You have anything to back that up?
  13. Being 31, I kinda doubt he gets 7 or 8 (unless it's from the Nats and they do a Scherzer type of contract).
  14. Also having 2 starting CFs in one lineup means you dont need to carry a guy who can play CF on the bench. You can stash more of a power, corner type bat.
  15. Apparently it's still really popular. My friends started watching again about 3-4 years ago.
  16. The tier below Stras and Cole, sure.
  17. Age doesn't matter when he only has 2 years of control.
  18. I'm fine with Kendrick as a bench bat.
  19. Wouldn't be a bad idea if they miss every other target for RF. Should be a salary dump as you said.
  20. 100%. If we have an injury or two, we don't want to see Covey taking the ball every 5th day.
  21. I'm good with them signing a back-end older type guy (like Rich Hill) who you can go back and forth between the rotation and bullpen. You can have Kopech start in the minors for about a month and have Hill (for example) in the rotation. Also, you can never have enough pitching.
  22. Really? If they get 2 starters, think one of all the names you mentioned and then a tier or two lower than that second one you classified.
  23. I'd exit and go back to drinking in the lot honestly.
  24. Unfortunately, with rules changing next year, that just isn't that valuable. Unless teams don't pinch hit for their lefties and there is a string of them coming up in one inning (3 batter rule).
