  1. I could kind of see Collins moved in the off-season too. For what? Who knows.
  2. Eloy go-ahead homers in 2 games this year, both games Nova won. 2 of my favorites.
  3. Danny DeVito with his thumbs up and girls with giant cans around him. No words.
  4. I think Maddon is going back to the Angels. Ausmus was fired after just one year and Maddon coached, played, and scouted for them.
  5. A little different trading a guy with 3.5 years of control and a guy that has 1 year of control.
  6. This is why I'm fine with them adding 2 starters. Get someone for the front and then sign a back-end starter. Let Kopech start the season in the minors for a month and evaluate how Lopez and the other starter are doing over that time. Bump one to pen or send Lopez to AAA or decide if he could be better in the pen as a late inning arm.
  7. He doesn't make us World Series contenders in 2020. Heck, we don't know if we are playoff contenders with a lot of our unknowns for next year. If he had 2 years of control, sure, I would be willing. But not for one season. Maybe sniff around and see if any other teams are willing to deal their stars with a couple years of control left (re-boot for next year, shift resources, etc.) and see if they are attainable.
  8. Can always trade later- either the prospect or veteran.
  9. If he had at least another year of control I'd be on board. But with only one year, a year where guys are still going to be going through growing pains most likely (Kopech, Cease, Robert, Madrigal, Collins if he is on the roster) as well as seeing if guys can sustain or grow on success from this year, I say pass.
  10. I would also be ok with the team carrying 7 relievers instead of 8 and having a 5-man bench (5-man benches like teams used to have).
  11. Are you confident the Sox would dish out a contract similar to Trout's? It would take a huge offer like that.
  12. I think he is adamant on testing free agency. I also expect them to get a package that includes at least one Top 100 prospect.
  13. Hall of Famer? Person living a great life (career accomplishments, married to a model, earned millions of dollars in career)? Both answers seem to be yes.
  14. Let's see how long of a deal Abreu signs first. Hopefully they go year-to-year with him.
  15. Do we really need help at catcher though? Even if McCann regresses with the bat, he still handles the staff really well. Sign a better bat to DH and a good defensive backup to be the primary backup or third catcher depending on what they do with Collins.
  16. Yeah, Haniger isn't left-handed. And d'Arnaud can do better than third catcher on another team considering he hits 3rd for the Rays. They could even bring him back.
  17. Can't wait for Last of Us 2!
  18. Wait do you mean "how do they handle it?" You would just look at the percentages.
  19. I'd still rather wait a year. Hes not signing an extension with one year left anyway so just wait.
  20. Man this really bothered you, huh? Triggered to the point where this was actually thread-worthy haha
  21. I definitely wouldn't touch that contact.
  22. I agree that he is the greatest of all trolls.
