  1. Yeah, that would be cool.
  2. And not appearing in live games for like 18 months is kind of a big deal. I think he needs more than Spring Training.
  3. Yeah it would be the most pumped and optimistic I would be for a season since...I can't even remember.
  4. Yeah I think so too.
  5. What if is something like Abreu (almost feels like a lock he comes back, but I would prefer he DH'd if we couldn't sign someone else), JDM to DH, a starting pitcher (Cole/Strasburg, but probably someone in next group), Calhoun, and a couple of relievers?
  6. Right. "A left-handed hitting RF" clearly means JDM.
  7. Yeah I'd prefer to aim higher. As a bench piece, sure.
  8. Gennett has played 16 games (10 starts) in the OF in his career and hasn't since 2017. I don't think he is an option for RF.
  9. I appreciate your commitment to this level of trolling.
  10. You're right. My math was off.
  11. So he's opting out of 3/$73,450,000. What do you offer him? An even 3/$90,000,000?
  12. Aaaaah that would make sense.
  13. It's the 4-spot. It's not like you're sticking him 6th or 7th.
  14. 1. Robert CF 2. Madrigal 2B 3. Moncada 3B 4. Marinez DH 5. Eloy LF 6. Abreu 1B 7. Calhoun RF 8. Anderson SS 9. McCann C No idea what you do with Collins in this scenario as he shouldn't just be relegated to the bench. Unless you straight platoon him McCann or give him about 60% of the catching starts then some starts at 1B and DH when guys have a day off. Edited lineup for those who think the 4-spot is way too low (lol) in the order for Martinez: 1. Robert CF 2. Moncada 3B 3. Marinez DH 4. Eloy LF 5. Abreu 1B 6. Calhoun RF 7. Anderson SS 8. McCann C 9. Madrigal 2B (not a bad way to hand it over to the top)
  15. Been so busy the last few days (helped my parents with some projects on Saturday and had a triple header between my 2 baseball leagues I play in so I've been dead to the world) so I may have missed this. Do you have any links for this?
  16. Calhoun seems like a good fit, but with their history, he definitely comes here and hits like .210, not as many homers as this year. Goes somewhere else and has a similar season to this one lol
  17. Yeah I kinda wondered too. Was someone scratched or skipped? Or did they do it to give everyone extra rest?
  18. Who's this premium RF you speak of in this year's class?
  19. In the sense that another team hires him rather than Sox just letting him go. I think he would be a great bench coach/infield instructor but he probably wants to manage one day (and I get the sense he would be a guy who would love to bunt).
  20. Those spots are even worse than black holes currently. Whatever that may be. But yeah, it's good to know whoever they add will be an upgrade.
  21. I must applaud this level of trolling.
  22. He's really not that big of a guy. Sure he's tall but everything I've read since they drafted him, as someone who does not watch any minor league games, you would think he was Jake Burger out there.
