I'm not really advocating for one way or the other. I do prefer another left-handed hitter that can play at least average defense. But if they did sign Castellanos, I wouldn't hate it due to his bat.

I've come around on the Castellanos idea. And if you decide you want someone else in RF after a year or two, you can likely trade him if you want to go with someone else.

No. I think Collins is the odd-man out. Abreu DH eventually, Grandal signed for 4 years, and Vaughn is actually a 1B, unlike Collins.

One thing is for certain: Collins is expendable.

Yeah I'm thinking Kalhoun is who they sign if they the price isn't right for trade options, which is fine with me if you're improving the rotation with one of the top options, a reliever or two, and maybe upgrade the bench.

McCann for 500-550 is not ideal. If the season started tomorrow and Collins was the primary DH, McCann should play a little more often than a normal backup behind the plate against lefties and giving Grandal a day off/a day he can DH.
