  1. MLBTR posted a poll asking when he (and Kimbrel) would sign. If he is out there past the draft (no longer have to give up compensation for him), would anyone here be ok with the Sox signing him? Personally, I think he's a better fit in the NL long-term, but if we're talking 4 years max, I might ok with it.
  2. How would this effect Ohtani? I assume he would just count as a pitcher, one of the 13, but can also bat. As opposed to being labeled as a position player who can also pitch, meaning the Angels could carry 13 pitchers + Ohtani.
  3. I think the late afternoon/early evening is a good cutoff.
  4. While he's here, he'll probably toss an inning if we are losing to save an arm.
  5. I would be good with McCann catching Lopez too and Castillo catching Nova and Santana.
  6. When you see the battery mates for each game, it's not hard to see a pattern. McCann: catching Rodon, Giolito. Castillo: Nova, Lopez. So based on first language?
  7. Better now than when he is in the majors I guess.
  8. He's all I see on Facebook from sports pages and see on ESPN. It's a good thing we didn't sign him...
  9. The only bad thing about the Rock Island line is that LaSalle Street station is a dump. But you don't really hang out at the train station anyway I guess so it's not really a big deal.
  10. I'm not going this year, but I think my plan for when I do go to home openers is to take both days off. If they play the scheduled day, then I just come into the office. If they play the second day and give notice that it's being pushed back, I will go to the office the first day. If they PPD when everyone is already there, then I guess I just change nothing and have both days off.
  11. It sounds like the Rock Island is the best line based on everything that I have heard from when I talk to anyone who goes into either Union or Ogilvie.
  12. Let's wait until we have a bigger than 4 game sample size.
  13. And with it being early in the season, it's probably still the case.
  14. Indians home opener yesterday. Same concept of why the Sox are off Friday and last Friday. Since people are paying more to go the home opener, they wouldn't push the first game back to the day the second game is being played.
  15. From a business, money-making standpoint, not really, haha.
  16. Right. And hasn't Herrera been dealing with an injury all spring?
  17. My family parks around 37th and Halsted. There used to be a bar over there called Schaller's Pump. You can also park down the street by the park and baseball fields. I actually started paying for parking the past couple years (well, mostly depending on if there is/are a woman/women with the group I'm with) since I'm no longer a broke college kid or paying off my loans haha.
  18. Or park a few blocks away for free, something my family has always done. It definitely can add up driving to a lot of games but the amount of money you can save on parking is kind of awesome, ha.
  19. DJ LeMahieu. Edit: for some reason, I thought they still had Neil Walker but apparently not.
  20. It's only an amazing deal if you actually go to a good chunk of those games. As someone who normally goes between, 10-15, and let's add 5 more games for the heck of it, I still don't believe it would be worth it since like most. I buy the $7 tickets and sit wherever anyway.
  21. They still have a lot of depth in the infield, especially when Gregorious comes back.
  22. Can we sell him to another message board?
