  1. The Mets are bizarre. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/07/mets-interested-in-marcus-stroman-exploring-noah-syndergaard-to-padres-deal.html Get out of the middle and commit to a rebuild.
  2. Yeah, I'm good with that too. Maybe not Wood, but someone. Even if it's a one or two year, higher salary deal that other teams with low payroll have to do (Rays and Morton as an example). Just add MLB caliber arms so we don't need to continue shuttling guys down from Triple-A to the Majors.
  3. 27, left-handed, under control through the 2023 season. Depending on the price, I can get on board with this (as they do need to add MLB caliber starters to the rotation). Still need to add a top of the rotation arm with him though.
  4. Gotcha. Based on our comments in the other thread, we seem be on the same page in terms of current untouchables.
  5. I dont see him being a headliner in a deal for anything great. Maybe next year at this time.
  6. But what are you willing to give up for higher? I'm thinking that Robert (obviously), Madrigal, and Vaughn are the likely untouchables at the moment.
  7. Right they probably have too high of a price on him to the point where it makes sense for them to hold onto him and see if he bounces back.
  8. That would be great. I saw in another thread here someone said they would give him 3/$45 mill.
  9. McCann has been cratering back to earth for over a month now. Over the past month, he's hitting .185 with a .214 OBP.
  10. Maddon has definitely done it with them using Travis Wood and Strop.
  11. Again, not a bad thing for the team if you trade nothing to get him. He walks, you get a draft pick, and hopefully someone in the minors is ready to take over or someone else is available in free agency.
  12. I'm all for the 3rd spot.
  13. Yeah he only announced a released date and the title name like a week ago when he was on The Tonight Show.
  14. That anyone who has positive potential Sox news is correct and anyone who has negative Sox news is clearly a troll?
  15. With....Carlos Zambrano.
  16. If the Sox trade minimal for him and he breaks out and is looking at a big payday in 2 years, that isn't exactly a bad thing for a team with a giant hole in RF looking to compete maybe as early as next year.
  17. And it wouldn't have worked (in regards to him being a buddy of Machado) because of Jerry.
  18. *Has flashbacks of many Sox teams in the past 10+ years*
  19. lol true. Edit: they play the Brewers 13 more games, Cardinals 10 more, and Reds 7 between now and the end of the season.
  20. Yeah literally trade him for anything. I know we need someone to cover innings but literally just call up Santiago or claim any starter that gets DFA'd or released.
  21. Dude, there's like one guy saying Lopez for Mazara. No one else here wants him for that. Everyone else who wants him is suggesting the bolded part (which the MLBTR story suggests since they sent him down once already but who knows for sure).
  22. Their 4th best OF is better than our 3rd best OF (maybe even 2nd if you wanted to play Garcia at 2B more).
  23. I'm on board with it because he's 24 (still young enough to put it all together), 2 years of control, left-handed, has some pop, and RF is a hole right now and likely next year. The only other option is to throw money at Ozuna (better suited for LF) or trade prospects if you want a significant upgrade. But it all depends on the price obviously.
