  1. I would imagine the answer being no but that is a good question. Kind of tailgate and hang out between games.
  2. One of my buddies got to caddy for Mike Trout a couple years back when the Angels were in town. Tipped my bud $200.
  3. They were meeting pretty recent to make changes though. Similar to how they did this past offseason with those new rule changes for next year, which would be before it expires. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2019/06/mlb-mlbpa-launching-bargaining-talks.html
  4. One other thing I have thought of is if the CBA changes in the offseason and guys have less control when they come up to the majors, would guys already in the MLB be grandfathered in under old rules? That would almost seem like a reason to rush guys up.
  5. Yeah that Tim Anderson guy sucks. Move him to catcher now.
  6. There's plenty they can say to get around that though. It's not like he's been crushing it over the course of 2-4 years. They can say they want him to cut down on ks, they want him to prove he can stay healthy over the course of a year, they want him to hit x amount at bats in the minors before coming up. Having said that, I'm excited to see Robert too. I'm honestly fine with whatever they want to do whether it be calling him up this year or waiting til mid-April 2020.
  7. They'll definitely find an excuse to keep him down if that is what they want, ready or not.
  8. They already signed Eloy to a deal and bought out a year of free agency (well, 2 if he started the year on the MLB team without an extension but he wouldn't have).
  9. Please explain the bolded. Are you saying because of his famous family?
  10. Sure seems like it the way he's posted about him the past 3-4 years.
  11. I mean when they've consistently been drafting towards the top over the past like 6 years, it isn't exactly breaking news.
  12. Correct. When we only had 3 starters in our rotation.
  13. You mean when we only had 3 starters? Definitely.
  14. Lmfao wow
  15. I can see the logic. A lot of people are off Thursday and Friday and may already be starting their long weekend off with a ball game.
  16. Remember the thread about too much pitching? Fun times.
  17. Wednesday wasn't due to the catcher situation though. They had Anderson out, Moncada leave with a HBP, and Tilson leaving the game sick.
  18. Yep. Which is why I said earlier in a thread that Collins isn't going to get regular at bats until Wely is back or hes at AAA.
  19. It's pretty common around the league. Probably in case something last minute happens (trade, another player has a non-baseball injury, etc.).
  20. I vote just call him up. Let him learn in the majors for the rest of the year.
  21. It's tricky since there isn't a concrete deadline (there are a couple factors that play into it) but I think July 3rd is safe. However, I don't think it matters nor is the reason. raBBit pointed out that there is doubleheader that day.
  22. Right you'd still pretty much have to sign Cole. Roll with Cole, Giolito, Cease, Kopech*, Quintana. *If he needs to go to the minors to start the year, then Lopez I suppose.
