He's a free agent after the 2023 season. As mapped above, the 24-27 seasons (all guaranteed before the opt-out) makes it 4 FA years.

Guarantee with those guys it comes down to playing time. They're not signing somewhere to ride the bench when a top prospect comes up. With Holt, he should get a ton of playing time in that wide open infield left side of the infield. It is kind of surprising that Gennett hasn't signed anywhere though. At the end of the day, I'm not upset they guaranteed an additional $250k.

I think theres an argument to keep him down though. It's not like he has a Kris Bryant year in the minors the year before his ETA.
