At quick view this Sandlin doesn’t seem too special so it makes sense. I think people (myself included) thought it would be a better piece). Again I know nothing about Sandlin so anyone feel free to make sense of why it makes sense that we need to pay Hicks $8M a year for 2 years to get him. Almost would have made sense to just sign a reliever. Unless they think they can fix Hicks and also flip him later but still, feel like you can do that in free agency.

Yeah I’m not really interested in going back to Soxfest with my kids until it goes back to how it was (I have hope it will post-JR era but that’s ok, my kids are now 19 months and almost 2 months old so we have time).
