  1. I STUCK MY HEAD IN THE SAND FOR 3 YEARS OF 100 LOSSES MAKING UP EXCUSES. I'M THE BEST
  2. You can still critique your favorite team and still be a loyal fan. Nothing more hilarious than people trying to control/gatekeep fandom.
  3. Yeah. Having said that, assuming Hays and Pereira get healthy, he's probably still one of the odd men out.
  4. Don't think he will be back after a few games haha he hasn't caught consistently since WBC. Only 14 innings on this rehab assignment in 3 games. It's more about getting ready to play the most physically demanding position on the field than the hitting part.
  5. It would pretty much have to be a salary dump and us not spending too much prospect capital but I agree. I do not want. He's been breaking down the last few years and at 34, not going uphill from here.
  6. You should absolutely try to upgrade over guys when you have to/can though. Especially when the roster is cheap. Something stupid the last rebuild didn't do.
  7. Said it here last week, but I'm not going to be mad with whoever they choose 1.1
  8. If that is who I'm thinking it is, then yes
  9. We are about to see a 10/10 the next 3 days.
  10. Colson and his .842 OPS against lefties (higher than against righties) on the bench in favor of Acuna and his .207 OPS.
  11. He's in at SS today
  12. I just realized how awful Quero has been against lefties. I was going to say he would be a slam dunk to play against a lefty but jesus, he's 1/27 (with 4 BB) on the year lol
  13. Just randomly thinking about this now: does anyone think this can impact which SS they take in the draft? Take the one that may be a few years away and possibly cheaper knowing they have a logjam at the MLB level, with even more infield talent coming up or the guy who you have to make room for it he hits as early as (maybe) next year? I think I still prefer the guy who will helps us out sooner.
  14. And only when absolutely necessary. Rather see see Sam move back into the IF with Chase over to SS if Colson is off.
  15. Like I said, I'd rather keep both
  16. I'd rather deal Meidroth and have Antonacci at 2B. But I don't want to do that either and just keep both.
  17. Keep Hill as he's proving to be a solid 4th OF type. When Hays and Pereira come back and Montgomery comes up, assuming all 3 are healthy, you gotta launch Acuna, Benintendi, and Grichuk. They'll have enough righty OFs with Hays, Pereira and Hill so don't need Grichuk, Acuna sucks and Benintendi can't play the OF. Use that spot to give guys a half day off. That OF is getting crowded if you want to play Hays, Pereira, Montgomery and Antonacci regularly. Edit: I guess the problem with this is their IF depth gets thin and Sam Antonacci acts as the backup IF. Edit 2: Acuna stay around as 26th man/save face for the salary dump trade and they can option Kelenic or Peters
  18. I don’t think there’s ever been a time in my life (probably most of us) where we had too many good lefty hitters. You love to see it.
  19. Yeah I’m not too worried about all the lefties in a row (against a righty anyway) but if anyone is, can slide Vargas into the 3 spot. I like Sam and Teel 1-2. Meidroth can hit 9th to act as second leadoff hitter.
  20. f*** you're right
  21. Don't call me Shirley.
  22. The dream is that enough of these guys produce and Braden comes up and it just pushes him off the roster entirely. I can't see him being traded in the summer and likely not in the off-season so might as well move on when guys start coming back and are promoted.
