Who would you add? I think Giolito is unlikely as the bridge is burned. Bassitt probably wants a 2-year deal and will probably be at least $15M. The mid-tier is too expensive for Jerry's taste.

I really doubt they will reallocate the full $20M. What are they going to spend on? Conforto for a few mill, Nick Martinez or Griffin Canning? That's maybe $10M right there.

Does anyone else think the Mets offseason has been “meh” so far? I almost rather would have kept Alonso and Nimmo, with Baty at 3B than adding Bichette (likely doesn’t have arm for 3B), Robert and Polanco (both injury prone), and aging Semien.

I kinda do. Run him out in Cf and maybe you have an elite defender/baserunner. That’s not very different than Robert’s down offensive seasons.
