  1. I hope he didn’t get paid for that game at least. I would say sure, you can leave. But by choosing to, you’re forfeiting that game’s salary.
  2. Alright well agree to disagree then.
  3. I’m sure most players miss funerals of friends they’ve even known longer for their team.
  4. Especially if they sign Bellinger lol
  5. I think it’s more likely Cubs keep him in semi-regular bench role or trade Hoerner and open up 2B for him.
  6. Don’t really like that deal. Yikes
  7. TA, Moncada, Yolmer, now Madrigal.
  8. There’s still so many free agents out there. The hitting market has been so slow since Schwarber signed and that was a while ago at this point.
  9. I always thought they’d go this route with Blake Sabol when they signed him (or claimed him on off waivers I forgot) last year and there was talk of trading Lee. If they go 3 catcher route (beginning to believe they won’t), it’d be nice to have one that can play a couple other spots even if it’s just 1B and LF.
  10. Yeah and I saw a Tweet that I think said they had 6 guys in camp last Spring. 4 are returning from last spring, now Romo. So maybe one more NRI coming as well.
  11. Yeah Lee goes in a deal for some fringe reliever or something. If you’re lucky.
  12. He has 2 options remaining, whereas Lee has none so Lee would have to make the team which wouldn’t be an issue if they carried 3 catchers. I don’t think they should though and should still play both Teel and Q every day (though, it doesn’t seem like that will be the case).
  13. Not a significant something but something.
  14. Yeah I’m not at all optimistic on the pitching side (outside of a couple arms). It would be fun to actually add 2 more legit starters to the rotation and try to at least go for a “lightning in a bottle” situation where maybe if everything clicks and guys don’t regress and some guys take steps it can be a competitive season.
  15. Don’t know if you noticed, but dude looks fatter now. His MLB days are gone.
  16. Inter-division trade tax? I agree though.
  17. I think his point was that keeping Luis Robert for some imaginary “playoff push” is a ridiculous thing to say when they have the 4th lowest payroll and still a long checklist of needs.
  18. Physical. Same thing that happened with Luzardo when they tried to acquire him in the past i guess.
  19. In reference to Luzardo, believe that was last year for those who are confused reading that (myself included at first).
