  1. He also kind of looks like the kid from that Wednesday show
  2. Yeah teams do this to give themselves flexibility during the rest of the offseason.
  3. I really wish they would just hand an OF mitt to Sosa and just play him in LF
  4. Yeah. As of right now, it feels like it’s “his job to lose.”
  5. Jimmy also dropped that nugget the other day that pitchers don’t like throwing to Lee
  6. Bingo. A 24-year old switch hitter who’s also apparently good defensively with 2 options just went for nothing. Maybe Lee moves for fringe 40-man guy during Spring Training at best. Edit: meant option, not years of control
  7. Yeah I don’t agree at all. Lee isn’t really going to bring back anything of value, if he is even traded.
  8. Yeah he seems like he’s just a placeholder until Cole and Rodon come back.
  9. He chose to be nicer to everyone else
  10. I wouldn’t sweat him taking a 1 one year deal. Think they’d be happy to have him back
  11. He’s still good defensively. For the price, I think he’s fine. I still feel like they need to add another bat somewhere though so he’s at least hitting in the bottom third of the order.
  12. Cards are sending $26M over (DBacks pay $5M in ‘26 and $6M in ‘27) and getting back an 8th round pick from last year.
  13. Giants: May we interest you in a lightly used Lenyn Sosa?
  14. His WAR in order since 2022: 4.2, 5.5, 3.7, 6.2. I wouldn’t worry about it.
  15. They could, at the very least, offer a QO at the end of the 2026 season if they hold onto him so there is still value in keeping him. Guy is still a good player even if he doesn’t replicate 6.2 WAR season.
  16. For me? I feel like it might be better.
  17. Would be a real shame if attendance decreased…..wait
  18. Seems like they’ll keep him in a utility role (at bats to go around with rotating DH maybe and guys like Swanson, Happ, Bregman 32 or over. Plus, he can slide ride into 2B if/when they don’t resign Hoerner.
  19. I like that signing better if he’s a reliever
  20. Yeah it was more of a rally than funeral
  21. More like Meal-loy. Dude is fatter for sure. Not how one should look when trying to make a comeback.
  22. Wish the Sox took swings like taking on salary and prospects from a team trying to salary dump because Castellanos would be an obvious one.
  23. The GM did make it sound like the CF job was his to lose but you’re right that signing Tucker can push him out. Especially if they need to add a catcher.
