  1. And less commitment
  2. I would guess maybe what he just got from the Sox last year.
  3. They only held onto him at the time because of his baby’s medical issues (I think cleft lip?) and having family support in area. More of a pain to uproot a guy midseason. Also, the return we would have gotten for him would likely be a guy we’re not even talking about 2-3 years from now.
  4. Think it just means they don’t want to commit $3M+ to a 35-year old, broken down player who will move to the bench after the first couple weeks/month of the season when Braden comes up.
  5. I’m kind of torn on Murakami. He feels like a guy who would come here and not live up to the deal for some reason
  6. I guess you still need a second guy on the roster who can. But this doesn’t mean Hill is a slam dunk to survive the season, let alone offseason.
  7. I think they’re gonna go dirt cheap there and hand the position off to Montgomery. Unless Robert is traded and he can play CF instead.
  8. A guy they picked up with like a week left of the season. Probably insurance in case of a Robert trade.
  9. To get him off the 40-man. He’s going to be injured for a couple of months. I bet he’s back on a MiLB deal shortly.
  10. It was so they wouldn’t have to relocate him while they had family helping out with his daughter or something.
  11. Maybe they re-sign him for cheaper down the line. Tim Elko also non-tendered but kind of expect him to re-sign on an MiLB deal.
  12. Old pal Gregory Santos non-tendered, if you want to take a chance on him again.
  13. Thought I saw it listed as 7pm central somewhere on Twitter?
  14. I think everyone is in agreement on that. It’s not trading him just to trade him.
  15. Hold him, play him at 3B all next year. Then evaluate later. Unless of course a team is buying high for some reason.
  16. Or at most, fine regular or backup 1B/3B. I feel like Colson ends up at 3B longterm, with one of the middle infielders in the minors (with possible top pick at SS in 2026) at short.
  17. Still hoping a team trades for him this offseason thinking he can play like he did the second half of last season, even if we have to kick half his salary.
  18. You’ve gone way too far down the rabbit hole of Caulfield’s mind
  19. I’d buy low on a guy like Kjerstad if they don’t want to play him. f*** it.
