I know. Personally, just risk it and play both. Who the hell cares if you need to maybe pinch hit 2-3 times or let the pitcher bat once. Also, odds are the Catcher doesn't get hurt. Or just call up Korey Lee instead of some other waste of space player.

Yeah, they can start him every day but bat him lower against righties. Add him to the top against lefties.

I think they'll include whatever the amount is for the buyout (if a team decides to go that route at the end of the year). They are not getting back much either though. Might as well have just tossed in $10M cash in the offseason and moved him considering that's about what they will have paid him when they trade him.

I don’t disagree with anything you said. I was just pointing out that it would be hard to figure out his value. He’s been cold and with so much control, better off just holding onto him. I think he will figure it out though. I love his approach at the plate.
