  1. You're not wrong. Civale is .1 WAR and Andrew Vaughn was -1.6.

Great deal for the Giants. No way Sox were going to do this when they’re slashing payroll.

I doubt that is the case until he’s calling all shots. We might get a nice stadium though.
  4. Knowing him, probably injury.
  5. I don’t hate any reason that keeps guys off the MLB roster prior to the lockout at the end of next year with so much uncertainty, unless you can get some guys on team friendly, 7-8 year deals before said uncertainty.
  6. Plenty of room for Fletcher when Tauchman and Robert are dealt and Taylor and Slater are cut.
  7. I think he means if you’re a team giving up a T100 for an Aaron Civale (if he pitches good enough), you probably have a deep farm.
  8. I’m pretty confident that we can move Civale for at least a low level prospect in the month and a half. Pitching is always needed by contenders.
  9. With only a month and a half left until the trade deadline, do you just hit him third behind Tauchman and Meidroth at this point and try to give him the most at bats behind guys that get on base a lot? Edit: or 4th behind Vargas
  10. He’s got pics of Getz and Venable.
  11. “Welcome back, Brooks. Capra is going to start over you today.”
  12. Does he have enough service time to reject an assignment? Is that how he became a free agent with Brewers? I’m actually asking since I’m not sure.
  13. Yeah, he can do that and be traded. Both are true.
  14. All I know is Quero and Teel both need to be in the lineup every day, at C and DH. When you have a 4-man bench, I don't think its completely necessary to carry a third catcher. I'll risk a guy getting hurt and losing the DH spot. You have 4 guys on the bench that can pinch hit throughout the game.
  15. You can just play Baldwin at 2B with Sosa/Vargas at 1B/3B. Rojas can hit the bench.
  16. Wild but honestly, probably true.
  17. You're right but man he just about fell completely off a cliff when everyone else did.
  18. Like I said, I didn’t really want either but would have just gambled on a lefty instead since we always need LH bats.
  19. People will say this is hindsight but I was leaning more towards Sheets if they were only going to go with one going forward in the offseason, basically just because of the lefty bat. However, I didn't really want to bring back either though, especially not Vaughn. Edit: this isn't like an "I'm pissed they didn't keep Sheets" post. Because I also doubt he would be doing here what he's been doing in SD.
