I was thinking the same at one point yesterday. If he starts hitting lefties better, he could carve out a nice career as a weak-side platoon player.

I get it if they were playing veterans who might have value at the deadline. Rojas, Taylor, Slater? Nah.

Yeah during Covid, my friends and I did a MLB The Show 2020 online league and I used the Angels. I used him at C against RHP since his secondary position was C. That’s why I remember it so well or it stuck out to me when Joe Maddon wanted him back at C. I think they carried 3 catchers at the time since he could play CIF as well.

I’m guessing they didn’t touch 2B or Soto technically passed Nimmo first (ruling him out) taking the force out away. So like a fielder’s choice would do.

Soto is the one who technically passes the lead runner so I guess he’s out (again, I know it was Nimmo but still).
